Where are the stars for the guinness? So ,after walking around boston common district I decided to check out this bar called Cheers. I never caught the show when it was on tv as I was too busy not watching TV. However I had heard about the place and thought it might be a fun place to have a beer. Wrong of course, just a tourist trap and not much of a bar anyway. Walking along the common I stopped and asked a local Where I could find a bar where one could have a quiet drink. I was directed to the 21st amendment, what a great name for a pub, and what a great place. Though it was slap bang in the middle of town, it had a lovely local vibe to it. The two girls serving were friendly and welcoming, the customers also and the guinness absolutely perfect. I'm not a local, not even an American but I will make it back to the 21st...

Was there around 5pm on a Thursday after work. First impression, great place. It filled up quickly and became so loud that I couldn't hear my colleagues.

I ordered nachos for the table, which were enjoyed by all, which was great, but I couldn't eat them because they fry the chips in the same oil as non-gluten-free foods.

I ordered a Manhattan on the rocks but received a red drink in a Martini glass. I asked the bartender why it was red, thinking she'd accidentally given me a Cosmopolitan, but she said she always pours cherry juice into Manhattans. Um, no. I told her how to make a traditional Manhattan, and she did her best, which I appreciated, even though they didn't have dark cherries.

Nice place for a quick drink with friends, but not the place to go if you are a foodie or Celiac or looking for...

Walked in, no one was in sight to greet. The place wasnt even packed. So I just kinda stood there awkwardly near the entrance. Walked toward the bar but he didn't even acknowledge me. So I walked back stood there for a little longer. Then I saw a waitress come out from the back and ended up walking up the two steps to let her know I was there for a pick up. Didn't really feel welcomed there. Gave the lady my card so I could pay then when she got back she just kind of lifted my card up in the air and put in in the table and walked away. The food was good, but the service was horrible. Definitely no customer skills. I recommend the burgers and...

I can't believe it took me so long to find this place, but I'm glad I did. It doesn't get any better than this...cozy old pub with a friendly staff and great food and drinks. The sliders were cooked perfectly and were amazing with thick pieces of juicy beef, and the Manhattan I had with it was great. Oh, and generous pours too! But the food and drinks were just the icing on the cake...the main draw for me was the atmosphere. It's just a nice place to warm up after a cold night out.

It was not busy when I went (late afternoon). I was able to choose my own seat and chose the dining area up the steps. Great ambiance- dark woods, copper hood over the fireplace. Ordered drinks, onion rings (crisp and well-seasoned), and buffalo tenders (an app but more than enough for a meal). The sauce had some heat but not too bad. The chicken was moist, lightly breaded, and meaty. Great service. There was a full service bar and outdoor seating too. Would go there again.

I was in Boston for a business trip and couldn’t decide on what to have for dinner. I headed downtown and started walking around to see if I could find something. I see this really nice building and decide to go inside and ask to see their menu. I had a delicious salad with a side of mash potato. This was late at night so I was the only person eating that late, most people were having a drink at the bar. Regardless, it was a nice little restaurant and the food was great.
