Visiting the city, and lots of other restaurants and coffee shops. This particular one might be good for regulars working in the area that want a typical cup of coffee. When I asked for a London Fog, they looked grumpy and said it's not on the menu. When I asked for a Hot Chocolate instead, they dumped a packet into a cup and added hot water. I don't think I remember any of the 3 people working there even attempting a smile or any basic friendliness at all. Might all have been having a bad day. I ended up tossing it out, and got much better service just around the corner.

This little place is nice. One way they could drastically improve is to put the food on real plates with real silverware. This is inside a building with a very cool history, it is across the street from the state house. I understand people try to save money, but for the people dining in, they need to have something of substance. I felt like I was camping using those cheap little plastic utensils.

Oh my gosh, my new fav brekkie spot! We just moved to Beacon Hill and there are many booked out places for the La Di Daa’s! I got a great coffee, a bagel 🥯 just the way I like it and the local read for under $8! That, with a view of the capital! Also everyone who works here feels like they’ve been here a while, and the Boston accent does it for me! It just feels homey!

The food was okay. Not bad, not great. The waitress was very nice and perhaps the only highlight. But if you care about the environment, don't eat here. It's all waste. Paper plates, plastic utensils, paper mats, plastic foam cups, etc. The amount of waste generated for my family for one meal was ridiculous. Multiply that by hundreds of customers a week and it's pretty disgusting in this day and age with all the awareness about reducing waste and why it matters. They even have corporate propaganda on the plastic foam coffee cups about how each cup generates less landfill "by weight" than paper cups and sleeves. Missing of course is that paper decomposes relatively easily and plastic foam doesn't- about 500 years to decompose, or that it's made from fossil fuels and has harmful styrene in it, a toxic chemical that can leach into your coffee in small amounts. But the frosting on the cake was when we finished our meal, drank our drinks, and my 3 year old daughter and I needed to use the restroom. That's when they inform you - NO RESTROOM (they don't have the space, evidently). Nice!! And nice setup since it's not mentioned anywhere visible on the front door as you come in. No public restrooms nearby either, especially on the weekend. Unless you want to use the one in the park. Overall, this place was a huge disappointment and their practices unacceptable as far as...

Small place with single seating only. The omelet I ordered came with like 5 or 6 home fries, so I didn't like that. But the blueberry pancakes were awesome.

I went back 3 or 4 days in a row for the pancakes. Plenty of blueberries, light and fluffy batter - just right. I got a ham and swiss(?) panini that was good, too. They seem like they have their regulars and they have a good relationship with them, but I personally didn't get that "welcome" vibe that I like when I go out. As I left I thanked them but didn't hear any response. That's not the kind of customer service I like, but hey, it's Boston, and it seems that's typical of my experience out here. I'm getting used to it a little more, but I still look for a little more friendliness. That goes a long way with me. The man who takes the orders seems to know the job pretty well, which is always helpful. I'm not putting these guys down, it's just my experience and my preference. The pancakes are definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a quick pop in before work or something. They'll take care of ya and you'll be happy with the order. I say...

I love restaurants that provide good service and good food. Unfortunately, if you are commuting in to meet a colleague for a meeting, this isn't the place for that. I was meeting a colleague and made the mistake of entering with an empty drink cup in my hand from earlier in my hour commute. This caused the owner to yell very loudly at me- twice - for bringing in an outside cup (it was empty- just in my hand), refusing to take the cup when offered to him, my actual drink order to be missed, and being sent across the street to use the bathroom and then yelled at again when I returned. Maybe the owner just needed to unleash his bad day on someone, but why bother risking it if you are meeting a...
