Had to park here in the Public parking. What a surprise to find Congress street entrance blocked by workers with a sign "use Pearl st entrance" Ok?! Classic Boston Public works or whomever plans this!! Do you think there were any additional signs, like "Detour" directing me to the Pearl St entrance?? Of course not!! So I had to fumble on my phone to reinput the Parking's address and of course it resent me to the original Congress st entrance. I had an appointment for an interview to renew my passport so I was not particularly happy!! So with the map in my head, I always print out the page from Google in case I lose GPS in a dense city setting, and my usual incredible nose for direction, I managed to loop around and find the Pearl street entrance! As long as you find it's entrance this parking is great and when you go up to the exit it has rest rooms which is great!! I was on time and all was good! But if you're new to the area, print out and/or study the area in case you lose GPS, or end of in a detour! That's if you like...

A small piece of serenity amidst the tall buildings and the rushing cars. Even though it is really small, it is well taken care of. The grass is always mowed in the spring and summer, the snow is plowed in the winter, the leaves are cleaned in the fall. The grounds are generally impecable. There are lights mounted on the trees and the fountain is always on during the day in the spring, summer and fall. Lovely spot to have some sunshine, read a book, lie on the lawn or...

The pandemic had hurt my favorite parking garage in the city, which does underneath the Leventhal Park. Because people aren't sitting on the lawns nowadays, dog owners are wantonly ignoring the directives to keep their furry friends off the lawns. A drunk homeless inhabitant is also featured on the occasional night. That all said, the fact that a nationally recognized park sits where a delapitaded parking structure once stood, remains an amazing gift...

After visiting major cities worldwide, from the busy streets of New York to the historical centers of Rome, I know the value of a quiet escape. Norman B. Leventhal Park in Boston is a great way to get away from the city's usual business. It's a calm, clean park. In the middle, there's a small cafe where you can get good, proper coffee and a snack. It's a nice, simple spot if you need a break from exploring.

Although this park is in the middle of the city and on top of an underground parking garage, it is a peaceful and relaxing spot. Some days It will get a little busy with professional photographers doing their photo shooting for engagements, weddings, graduation and more. There is also a coffee shop that is open from Wednesday to Friday only.

I took my boyfriend to Boston to see a Celtics Game for his birthday. We stayed in a hotel around the corner from this park, and discovered it on a walk around the city. It had the best coffee shop there, too! We thoroughly enjoyed spending some time in this park and sipping happily away on our coffees.
