Boston Church Back Bay — Attraction in Boston

I was a member of this church for eight years. I have spent the last five years trying to recover from being a member of this church. I am nowhere close to being healed from it.

That being said, they were the ones who told me about Jesus, so that is why they get two stars instead of one. But there are better places for you to learn about Jesus that don't leave you so scarred afterward.

You may notice that all of the reviews have been made in the last eight months. Most were made eight months from my review, and another wave at one month from my review. All of these reviews are from current members, and they were apparently told by their leaders eight months ago to do so.

This church has been around for over 40 years now. It used to have a lower rating, but then they changed their name on Google eight months ago in an attempt to rebrand and remove any negative reviews.This sort of deceitful re-writing of history is not appropriate for those who call themselves by the name of Jesus.

A thorough Google search of "The Boston Church of Christ" will give you a more balanced view of this...

I came to church here for the first time as an atheist over ten years ago. My college roommate asked if I wanted to go with her and I definitely wasn’t looking for God - I felt pretty strongly that religion was hypocritical most of the time. In this church I found the most genuine group of people I’ve ever met. I learned what it meant to be a Christian, started following Jesus, got my sins forgiven, found my best friends here, bridesmaids in my wedding.
