Harborside Fountain Park is such a hidden gem in Bremerton! The whole area is clean and surprisingly quiet, especially once youâre down by the water and fountains. The fountains themselves are spotless, the tables and chairs make it easy to relax while the kids play, and the views of the ferry coming in and out are unbeatable.
Our kids absolutely loved itâthink full water-park-level excitement. The fountains bubble and spray in different timed patterns, which kept them entertained forever. Just make sure to pack yourself a snack to chill while they play. The water wasnât too cold, just refreshing, but Iâd recommend water shoes since it can get a little slippery (and while the signs say âno running,â well, kids are kids).
Bathrooms are tucked just behind the park (easy to miss at first, but super convenient once you find them), and there are water fountains available too. As for safety, while you might see a few unhoused folks near the entrance, the park itself felt comfortable, family-friendly, and well-maintained.
This became one of the highlights of our kidsâ trip to Bremerton. A perfect, free way to let them play before or after dinner downtown while soaking in the...
Read moreOne of my favorite areas in Bremerton and a relatively new one, something that was not here when my parents visited the city back in the 1990s. The best thing I can say about this park is that it feels so naturally integrated into the marine environment of the city that it's hard to consider this park not being here. It is a watery wonderland of these towering fountain that resembles of whales pulsating with water and periodically bursting into vibrant ecstasy as a plume of water soars upward from the spout, an experience that I anecdotally will say delighted the many children who were running around this park when I was here on a bright day near the end of may. I adore the shady spaces too, under the leafy boughs of growing trees, providing little sanctuaries from which to watch the fountains and the excited visitors strolling or running, in the case of the kids, from one spout to the next, transfixed. Of all the places in Bremerton I explored, this is the one I am most likely to stop at every time I visit here...
Read moreSuch a blessing! Beautiful little park nestled next to the Bremerton Ferry. Amazing view of the sound at the end with five wading pools from entrance to end that have large pillars in their centers that act like fountains. I have heard that there is usually water coming out of the tops like geysers but it wasn't doing it while we were there. There are bathrooms with enough space to change into and out of bathing suits. A great place to take children on a hot day. There are tables and chairs set in small clusters along the edges. We took advantage of these to sit and watch the kids play in the couple of inches of water. There are large bushes and trees along the edges to offer shade from the sun. This is somewhere I will gladly take the family to again. Keep in mind that there is no on site parking so you will most likely need to park in one of the small lots around there...
