Personally, I think The Vault Luxury Resale is at the top of my list of most favorite things about St. Louis. I have been shopping with them for over 3 years now and am completely spoiled. They have everything from mid-range designers to the very high end luxury designers in all things wonderful including shoes, handbags, clothing - athletic, casual, work and special event items - accessories including sunglasses, scarves, etc. They have it all for every price point. The best thing about 2020 has been the work they have done to make shopping safe from home by implementing online shopping through their website as well as their live shopping shows on Facebook... I have become an addict for their shows every Mon, Wed & Fri. Love it!! I have sold many of my things to them and feel the prices they pay are definitely fair. Sure, I'd always like to get more money but I am not taking any risk in waiting for a sale to receive my money. I think some of the negative reviews are based on sellers not taking into consideration the fact that The Vault will buy your item outright thus taking the risk of waiting for the right person to buy the piece. You get paid in either check or store credit immediately. I understand that we all want the most for our luxury pieces but in other standard consignment shops, you wouldn't be paid immediately and you also then have to take the risk that the item won't sell at all or for the price that you hope to receive. That uncertainty is all taken away by this process at The Vault.
I absolutely LOVE this store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and really work hard to make it a luxury experience for all of their patrons. I highly recommend this business. It is one of my favorite addictions to date! You won't be disappointed. It is a gem...

We were initially greeted with a smile and shown around, but as soon as I asked if they bought vintage luxury (Ferragamo shoes), the woman’s demeanor changed, and the rest of the staff basically disappeared (and in fact, it seems as if all the staff hid in the back room for the duration of our visit of around 30’ish minutes). From that point on, we were treated as if they couldn’t care less that we were even in the store. They offered every other customer a beverage, loudly enough that we could hear it, but did not offer one to us. We continued to get sideways glances, and were only spoken to when my gf needed a changing room. It truly seemed as if they were trying to be as outgoing to everyone that entered and shopped except for us. The selection was fairly well curated, but there was not a lot of inventory in general. There was a pair of Jimmy Choo pumps with quite a bit of damage on the stiletto heel (and it was snakeskin texture, so highly noticeable), that they still wanted $200 for, as well as a pair of gray suede heels (Cole Haan I believe?), that were obviously dirty and needed to have an eraser ran over to clean up. I like the concept and the store is beautiful, but the breadth of the selection could be much better and their customer service is positively awful. If I want to be treated like a second class citizen while shopping, I’ll just go to Burberry on the...
Read moreI must not have the look of their ideal customer because they aren't overly friendly to me here. During my very first visit, I chatted with an older woman who was super conversational and helpful. It was a great experience and I bought 3-4 things. However, I have been back 3 times since then and the employees do the very bare minimum to be "friendly." Like another reviewer mentioned, it seems like they pick and choose who to focus on. They will talk with other customers and offer wine and water but to me it's just the standard offer of hanging the clothes that are in my arms to be tried on. I left today wondering why I keep visiting this place when they don't seem to want me there anyway. Afterwards I went to Nordstrom Rack (one minute down the road) and spent a similar dollar amount as the items I was considering at The Vault. The funny thing is, the Nordstrom employee is who convinced me to buy a dress because of her customer service skills (as compared to the lady at The Vault who seemed a little too stuck up to care when I talked to her after trying on a dress). Go figure. I am not into the fake pretentiousness. I just like quality clothing and it is becoming very apparent to me that I can find similar...
