I got gel X nails done and immediately knew something was wrong as there was tons of excess glue piled at the top. The man who did my nails insisted that they were fine and had to be that way so I left. I also got a very uncomfortable pedicure where the lady poked my foot aggressively with a tool or her nail any time she wanted me to move my foot.
The very next day two of my gel x fingernails just completely popped off. We called and asked for a refund because we didn’t have any time to come back at all and they refused and insisted we come back. We managed to make some time and requested a new, more experienced nail tech.
When we arrived, they tried to give me the same nail tech and we had to ask again for a new tech. The new lady examined my nails and when I asked her what had happened that caused the nails to fall off, she told me that nothing was wrong, that the glue had been perfect, and that I must have just thought they were uncomfortable since it was my “first time getting gel x”. It was not, in fact, my first time getting gel x, and the last time I got it (from a different place), it had lasted over a month with no issues. It felt accusatory, like I was making up an issue just to cause the salon inconvenience.
This happened to be the same nail tech that my sister had the day before that had been extremely impatient with a variety of little things. The remainder of the session was uncomfortable with the nail tech clearly mad at me for the whole situation when the whole staff should have been overtly apologetic since it was not my fault that my nails randomly popped off way prematurely.
While my nails now look good and do not have any excess glue under them, the entire experience was very unpleasant and should not have been. Never once did any of the staff apologize throughout the experience until we called them after to express our disappointment in how we...
Read moreI wanted to be positive about my experience here because they are one of the few places paces that open early. When the lady sat me at the pedicure bowl, there was a dead fly in it and crumbs on the seat… she proceeded to sit me there. That was red flag #1 I asked to be moved. The color I selected was bright red. When she began to polish it looked more orange than anything. I mentioned I didn’t like the orange. She said it looked more red with 3 coats… I didn’t want to be difficult so I just said ok. They did my toes the same and I hated it so she used a different color red on top to balance it more. I still hated it. I mentioned again the color looked orange. At this point I just let them finish. I was charged $100 for my natural nails btw. When I left it looked terrible on my complexion so I returned to ask for a polish change. Same exact day. After they exchanged words with each other for my return, the manager tried to charge me another $60! Seriously, unbelievable. I said absolutely not. I won’t...
Read moreDo NOT go to this salon. They are completely focused on getting you in & out and moving onto the next person rather than doing a decent job. My biggest complaint is that I got a manicure at the salon last week, and the nail tech broke my nail off at the cuticle and didn't even mention it to me. Granted, I have pretty weak nails, but she should have at least said something to me about it & tried to fix it. Instead she just painted over my nails (sloppily I might add) and then sent me on my way. I didn't even notice at first that my nail was broken until a day or so later when I noticed that my finger was still hurting a little bit. I thought I might be bruised underneath my nail because the nail tech was pushing so hard on my nails while she was doing my manicure that it hurt during the manicure (which I feel is unusual to begin with). Then I noticed that my nail was cracked/broken across the cuticle. I definitely won't be coming back to the salon, and I won't be recommending it to my friends and...
