Brown Deer Public Library — Attraction in Brown Deer

Will not be back both women at the front desk this evening 1/5/2023 had attitudes beyond for zero reason. I was returning late items on my 8 year olds card after the holidays and was informed there would be a charge on a child’s card. The two women already seemed unpleasant and were not welcoming at all so I walked out and will not return. The library should be a positive environment for children and should not have to be worried about late fees on their items. The woman at the desk should pick a job where they don’t have to work with the public especially not kids. Now my 8 year is stressing about $10 he doesn’t have. But don’t worry I’ve ensured him that he doesn’t have to worry about that theres lots of other libraries with nicer staff

The "new" library is wonderful. More room to spread out, great interior design and ample seating, a dedicated children's area, helpful staff, automated check out with a library card. Now with an additional floor you can read, study or work while looking out over the surrounding area. Plug-ins for phones and laptops are readily available. And the many programs and activities for take home is a bonus.
