Brown Deer Pond — Local services in Brown Deer

Great place to hang out, swim, and bring the kids. The pond is natural-esque — it has a natural, gently sloping sand bottom, but is chlorinated. So weeds and fish are nil, but it still feels more like a fun watering hole than a sterile bright-blue standard park pool. There’s a platform and low diving board in the deeper section, which is about 11 feet.

Bring a blanket or chairs, as the sand is a little on the rocky side. There are clean regular bathrooms and showers on site, and a nice play area just a little ways outside the pond’s fence.

Before they shut down at the end of summer each year, they have a special Dog Swim, hence the dog photos showing up here. We took our beautiful chocolate lab to this, and she loved it. Search for “Brown Deer pond dogs” for...

No waves to surf here, no stones for skippin' nor twigs for campfire cooking and shmore shlorfun. BUT for my less than 2 year old toddler, this is perfect. Warm water, playable sand, life guards prowling to keep Death at bay...it's a simple and clean experience for a little hop in the pond summer...

Great place to swim. But they has 8 employees eather reading or talking with only one life guard actually workin so in turn only one area open. There were more then enough lifeguards to open more and there were enough people there to have more open and cramming...
