Nice facility and pool. I joined not too long ago but decided to leave because of the value for dollar ratio here. Currently, the rate is too high for how often the pool is available. The cost is higher than the YMCA, but you're allowed to swim about 1-2 hours max in the mornings. That's if you attend both sessions (which is not ideal). There is nothing available in the evening and nothing available after 8 am so if you miss the morning session, your day is shot. Oddly if you are a YMCA member at Brown Deer, you have more swimming time (doesn't make sense to me at all). Absolutely no evening swims so if you have a typical normal life schedule, you will never swim here unless you have the stamina to get up at 5 am each day...I might return when more swimming hours are available, but WAC offers a better swimming window if you are okay with the pool there and overall a better Value to Cost ratio rate. The team is usually friendly and helpful when it comes...
Read moreMy experience with this pool is to watch long course and short course USA Swimming competitions. This probably used to be a great facility, but it is really run down. Some bathrooms doors are short of 8 inches from being able to latch as the framework has rusted away and pivoted. Ceiling tiles are collapsing from water. The carpet is really worn. The stands are difficult to navigate as they don’t have marked walkways. It takes sizable steps to climb through the audience to get from row to row of the bleachers. The audio system makes it very difficult to hear. Some of the scoreboards don’t work. The doors are often 75% locked so you have to work hard to get into or out of the building. The athlete bleachers were curiously just replaced. I hope this means a group is investing in updating this pool. It is used a lot by the...
Read moreI usually don’t write reviews for anything but felt that I needed to this weekend. We have been coming to WSAC for years for various swim meets. Currently we are here for the Speedo sponsored A+ meet. After driving around for 30 minutes looking for street parking since all the lots were full or completely blocked off by the pool staff, we are back at our hotel watching this meet livestream. For a meet this big, more parking should be planned and the parents/spectators accommodated so this doesn’t need to happen. We are more than happy to pay to park, there was just nothing available. Very frustrating and unfortunate for people who just want to see their kids swim. For some context we arrived an hour and a half before the...
