To be fair the last time I was at a Paninis for food was the Downtown location. Not sure if that one is just better or if this one is only associated by name. With that being said. I gave it 2 stars because people were friendly and they make a good mixed drink. Without further adieu lets dive into what was wrong. The table and chairs were sticky. The high top chairs were loose and have been well used. Our waitress was fine. I had a traditional Paninis over stuffed sandwich. It was smaller than I remember and the fries were not over flowing off of the sandwich. I should also point out it didn't come with a side. The deep fried Provolone wedges were done to perfection and very tastey. My lady had a salad and bonless wings. She said the salad was great. The bonless wings were tasteless. I also tried them and they were very bland. Over all it wasn't a bad experience. They took care of the wings without asking. But it just wasn't up too my standards. To be honest there is a restaurant in Medina that does a similar sandwich and they knock it out of the park. I think maybe inflation had something too do with the small sandwich. But over all it was just ok. Expect to spend a lot and get little in return. We went someplace else afterwards to get food and desert since the portions and food quality was just ok. I personally think you get what you pay for except for this situation. I wont be back. Now point. There are better...
Read moreI eat here for lunch several times a month because I work nearby. I’ve generally had a positive experience for the most part, but my most recent visit was subpar. My food was decent, but my husband ordered clam chowder which came out lukewarm. We then waited nearly 10 minutes for our server to come back to the table. We explained the situation, at which point she took the bowl from the table and said “I’ll be right back.” A few minutes later, she returned with the same bowl that had obviously been microwaved. She placed it on the table and walked away without a comment.
This is not the first time I’ve had soup at this restaurant that was under heated; however, it is the first time I’ve had a bowl of seafood and dairy based soup served at room temperature. I would think there would be a minimum temperature required for food safety. In addition, we were never asked “how can we make this right?” She simply took the bowl, put it in the microwave, and brought it back.
If I wanted microwaved soup, I could have stayed home and cooked it myself. And I definitely think that we should have been asked if we were okay with having the soup microwaved, or we should have been given an alternative, such as a different food option or a credit on the bill. We didn’t even get an apology.
Will I go back? Probably, because there aren’t a ton of options in Brunswick. But I won’t go any time soon, and I definitely...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying - I know we are in the Covid era and restaurants are struggling, that is if they are still open. But my Panini's experience last week did not sit well with me. Only once (since the big shut-down in March 2020) have I dined in at a restaurant; and, technically, I sat at a table outside on the patio. So I was a little surprised at the pricing and quality of Panini's food. We ordered online so that we could celebrate a family member's birthday. Since we were not dining in, I could not use the BHS Football card - not a big deal. But having to pay a la carte for salad dressing when you ordered a SALAD is a tad wrong. $0.60 worth of wrong in a little jello shot cup. Even worse, failing to pack it in the pick-up bag. Lemonade for the kids meal - N/A. Order of BBQ wings - if that's what you want to call 5 nubs for $6.79. There was some enjoyment out of the meal - the mesquite BBQ sauce was really good and the meatzza pizza was very good. I liked my Reuben. I would have liked it even better if it had been on any other kind of bread besides rye. I would have paid $0.60 or a $1.00 to substitute the bread. But (sigh) there is no option on the website to do so. Hopefully, the prices come down a little, the online ordering becomes more functional and the next time I eat a Panini's meal, it will be a more...
