This experience with purchasing our first Vehicle was horrible!! We left the dealership tearing up because this dealership made us feel like scum! Horrible service from George, Andrew, Lamar and Lorenzo. We brought in a Cashiers check to purchase the car in full before taxes, and were told we could not take home the vehicle and had to wait 2 days for bank to clear, a bit skepticalwe complied. 3 days go by, my financial institution notified me that check was cashed and no longer hold funds of over 24k. I called in to ask if we could come get our vehicle and was told that the check didn't clear the dealer's bank so. We felt like we were being scammed by this dealer, and started to worry we would lose 24K and our vehicle. So I spoke with Manger George. Instead of making the situation right he began to interrogate me by repeadly asking what my credit score was and if I had ever received a check in my life as if I was beneath him. How dare he make his customers feel that way, after I told him I was worried about feeling scammed!! As if to gaslight us into feeling that we were incompetent or not good enough. After the horrible treatment over the phone, we still gave this dealership another chance, so I told George that we will give them till the 26th for funds to clear his end. ( We had singed and paid for everything ,but the registration, on 4/22/24. )Then conveniently he called back after 6 mins and told us we could pick up the car anytime we wanted?? What changed in 6 minutes? When we told them about how the other sales men would set up an uber for us to come in and get the car at 6:30pm they said they would set it up. My husband and I excited to get our car, waited for 45 mins in the cold to not be picked up! When we spoke to Lamar via text messages he replied that we would have to come by the next morning or pay an uber our selves and be reimbursed later!! What?? So I called the dealer to speak with Lamar or George, and they both had left for the day!? Who was supposed to help us when we got there?? Then Lorenzo answered my calls and sent me to voicmail when I asked him not to then picked up the my call and ignored me for 2 minutes resulting for me to hang up and call back. Finally after an 1.5 hours, Andrew set up an uber for us and we arrived at the dealership at 8:20pm. Upon arrival, Andrew greeted us and told us to "wait a moment for the registration form to sign" and had us wait for a finance guy. After waiting an HOUR, we were soo tired of all of this awful treatment and asked if we could talk to Andrew and were told he had left to run an errand???! Then the Finance guy came out asking where our sales guy is and had us sign the registration forms that took less than a 1 minute!!!! Why where we there for over an hour to sign something that took less than a minute!!?? Finally Andrew came back from his "errand" and barely walked us out to our new car and said "I'll call you tomorrow morning to set up On star" and walked inside not even giving us a run down on our new car or saying good bye. What a horrible service and on a day that should have been a celebration of our new purchase ever of a vehicle, it was depressing and they DID NOT "MAKE US FEEL LIKE PART OF THE FAMILY!!!" We feel truly wronged and disgusted with the handful of staff we interacted with. The only person that was helpful to us and sincere was...
Read moreThe experience at this dealership service department was horrible. Took a vehicle for service 7/30/24 and the vehicle was there until 9/25/24. The first time I was told it was ready for pickup was 8/31/24 the vehicle came out in worse shape than it went it. At this time Service advisor Ray Nájera advised me that the vehicle engine was altered (aftermarket cam shaft) and that Simpson Buick could not work on the vehicle any long. They still replaced the ECM and stated the other ECM had an issue and also replaced the intake manifold. That did not make sense. The vehicle was then released to me stating that it was running ok and that there may be a check engine light that would come on. The vehicle had several lights and messages on the dash on that were not on when it was dropped off. Traction control, stabi-track, trailer brake control malfunction, tire pressure monitor lights on. On top of all of that, Ray seemed really eager to run us out of the dealership and wires were hanging out of the dash and inside and out of the truck was filthy. When I felt the truck was not save to drive, I immediately returned the truck to the dealership. I told Ray that it was dissatisfying that this is the kind of service they provide. I asked Ray to speak with the shop manager Tim Good. I explained the issues we were having and he was very apologetic about the issues and he stated that this was not the way they do business. He had them take the truck back in and diagnose. After a week of diag they found an issue with a broken valve spring that was causing the original issue. The first tech diagnosis was incorrect and replaced the ECM using the extended warranty even if it did not needed it. After another week I was told again that it was ready for pickup. When I picked it up I could tell it was not 100% fixed but I drove off anyways as no check engine light were on and it seemed just ok. After about 45mins the check engine light came on again. I again returned it to the dealership and also noticed that the mirror was also broken and told Tim Good about this situation aswell. He was again apologetic and stated they would get it right. After another couple weeks they found that the ethanol content sensor was faulty. They replaced the sensor but could still not have it reset and needed to wait for GM tech support to assist them. On 9/25/24 I was finally told it was ready. At this time the truck now seems ok. All in all the service at this dealership mainly speaking about Ray the Service advisor and the first Tech that did not go through the proper steps of diagnosing have horrible customer service. Tim Good the service manager did a good job communicating with me and made sure that the truck finally got completed. I will never use this dealership for any further vehicle service or purchase of...
Read moreThis will be the 3rd car that I have bought from Simpson of Buena Park. The reason I keep coming back is simple, all of the employees there really know how a customer wants to be treated. All 3 times it was a pleasure working with them to secure a deal on a new car. Most dealerships apply a lot of pressure on the customer to get the deal done but at Simpson that is not the case at all. My wife even commented how she felt very comfortable with the staff there and how they genuinely feel like good people. And that’s because they are. From sales to managerial to finance, everyone we encountered was welcoming, understanding and (most importantly) provided us with a pressure free environment. In securing the perfect vehicle for us this time we worked with Rene Ruacho. Rene made sure to understand exactly what it was we were looking for and did not offer us or try to convince us on anything other than that. He took us in person to see every Yukon they had in their inventory, not just on the lot but also down the street to their storage lot. There wasn’t a question he wasn’t able to answer when it came to the vehicles. From engines to interior, trims, options, warranties, you name it we asked everything and he was “Johnny on the spot” with honest answers. In the end the exact Yukon we we wanted they didn’t have, but Rene found it for us at a sister dealership not too far away. Once we told him that yes that’s the car we want he made it happen and he had the car there ready for pick up the very next day. Even after we were all done and I was having trouble connecting the digital license plate to my phone, he brought me and the car into the service area and had 3-4 people troubleshooting the problem so I wasn’t leaving the lot without everything being perfect. I couldn’t recommend Simpson at Buena Park more. The first car I bought there was in 2016 and I don’t intend to buy anywhere else whenever I am in the market for a new vehicle. Thank you Rene and thank you...
