Lafayette Square — Attraction in Buffalo

This is an Historic Buffalo Landmark that has been allowed through neglect to become an Al Fresco Homeless Shelter. I believe that the People Who live there deserve Compassion and Housing. It's Filthy and trash strewn. Utterly Sad that this piece of the City's History is Neglected by the City Council. Lafayette Square is a small public green space at the eastern portion of Downtown Buffalo between the public library and the Liberty building. At the center of the park is the Soldiers and Sailors monument. The park is a great shared space, and I'm glad to see the police leaving the homeless alone during the day. This is a great place to just sit and relax, and read a book that you just borrowed from the Central Library. In worse times I sat here when I had no home to go lay my head.
