This place is amazing- all of the programs they offer, classes and workshops, as well as art openings and readings. They do the Edible Book Contest every year (I always participate!) and that is amazingly great fun! They always have an art show on display and have an opening to go with it. Their letter press in the basement is authentic and no one else does anything like it. Their shop is full of great prints and cards- I own so many posters from this place, I lost count. They used to host something called Big Night which was a great evening full of poetry reading and food. Their annual craft fairs around Christmas as other holidays are always a treat- they curate the best vendors, and I love everything they offer. Definitely check out their classes, events, readings, openings, etc- everything they do is great, and open to everyone. A real place for the community to gather and grow.

This place is amazing. They have the coolest events, and some really interesting book-crafting classes. While they are best in-person, as they have lots of specialized equipment for printing and silk screening, during COVID they did some awesome on-line courses. The edible book arts competition (around April 1st) highlights the innovation that the people involved have. If you do stop by, make sure to check out the massive collection of lead type and the various printing presses that they have!

The Western Book Arts teaches classes on bookbinding and letterpress. The salmon-themed artwork exhibit is interesting. I have so many questions about farmed fish now.

WNYBAC is a great literary non-for-profit maker-space in the CBD, that hosts artists, offers print making services and classes. If you're looking for an analog infusion into your digital world, stop in. Small gifts to remember Buffalo by if you are passing through.

Stopped in after work for the opening of the Bob Fleming: Printed Lives exhibition. I was very impressed with the variety of his prints WNYBAC was able to display...
