Saint Joseph Cathedral — Attraction in Buffalo

My family and I were originally so excited to visit Saint Joseph Cathedral while traveling through buffalo, unfortunately while struggling to park our RV a vehicle was continuously blowing the horn at us not at all helping our situation. As it quickly drove around us we realized it had actually been the Bishop himself giving us angry looks at beeping at us constantly!!! What message did that send to my small children. Does he not live the same life outside the cathedral as in the real world?! My husband and I were VERY very sad and disappointed by our experience. Definitely ruined it for us. Prayers...

St. Joseph is the Catholic cathedral on the south side of Downtown Buffalo. The cathedral doesn't have much activity outside of mass times as the diocese is actually across from St. Louis church on Main St. on the north side of Downtown Buffalo. There is a small chapel behind the alter and stain glass windows can be found throughout the cathedral. The cathedral is well maintained and there is a small parking lot that is shared with the Erie County Courts, so the best bet is to find street parking when visiting...

I do not have an issue with the people that work for the church or the church itself, so I won't be giving them a poor rating. But just so that others are aware: the people that attend the church can be very bitter and nasty. They'll cut you off in traffic, start quarrels over parking, act superior to you, and say rude things. It's unfortunate to see how pride and wrath plague these folk and I hope they can learn to better themselves and their lives...
