I haven't been back to this place since they barely broke ground updating the parking lot. I expected it to be better than before. Even in the most minute amount. It was not. The parking here is a total NiGhTmArE
Pandemic or not, the sheer amount of human activity in such a cramped place is stress-inducing merely remembering my most recent experience between Target , Michaels, Best Buy, GameStop, Ulta, and Walmart.
Traversing the parking lot felt like I was walking across a parking lot in BAKER. You know that town right? On the way to Vegas, has the world's largest thermometer, is just shy of1900°C at any point onna cloudless day, and lastly...
The stores have not what I was looking for. Ps4? Definitely not. Don't waste your time coming here to find one until the Ps6 comes out because they stick nothing bigger than a tube of lipstick at the Target, the walmart because of pandemic is reminiscent of bus station in Total Recall, and the target looks even more run down now running at a reduced capacity than it did at full hours and staff.
It's dreary. Gamestop didn't have my PS4 either. I was so desperate I was gonna wea4 a sign in the parking lot that said in big letters "FFS I will PAY $2,000 for a USED Playststion 4"
My last experience was awful and I refuse to return, pandemic begone and/or ps4's available- no. I won't go....
Read moreEmpire Center is always a lituation. It’s got all those late 90s bangers right in a row. What’s an Amazon? I’m going to TARGET. Why buy a TV and have it conveniently shipped to your door when you can struggle to fit all 70 inches of one in the back of your crossover outside of BEST BUY? Feeling stressed about the lack of Christmas wreath building you’re doing at random in July? MICHAELS has you covered. And speaking of cover… shoot on over to REI for a friggin tent while you’re at it! Did I mention a WALMART shares a parking lot with the Target!? Dear lord what’s next!? The Capulets and the Montagues ARRANGING a marriage between their children!? Just don’t forget to nab some ‘a them Olive Garden breadstix on your way out (pending the Krispy Kreme Hot Donuts sign ain’t illuminated). Skip the Panda Express that MSG will put you to sleep! —-
Only given 4/5 stars because there’s only one way in and one way out and frankly it’s the Wild Wild West tryna push into this joint on a Saturday. And once you’re in… you definitely ain’t leavin’. But then, and I cannot stress this question enough… why on EARTH would you want to?
Pro Tip: Impress your friends by telling them you miss the Sports Authority and Great Indoors that once occupied this...
Read moreConsidering how spacious and clean this plaza is, it's full of crazy drivers who are eager to leave as quickly as possible. I would always almost get hit by a car even when looking at them to make sure they see me as I walk pass by. A lot of entitled drivers around the area for some reason.
On the plus side, you got a Walmart, a Target, Michels, Best Buy, Game Stop, Lowes, and many other shops and restaurants where you can rest and enjoy the structural view. It feels clean and it's easy to see the other stores. Theres a small greenery area where most of the restaurants are located and small independent stores. A good place to hangout and also rest.
I'm giving this area a 4 stars solely on the layout of the parking structure that makes drivers do questionable decisions. Not to mention how there isnt any lightposts (green/red) around the small intersection spots in the parking lot that obviously needs to be there since Ive seen the drivers themselves have a hard time figuring out who gets to pass by first and they do almost hit each other as well.
Yes there are crosswalks but anytime either me or someone else tries to pass by it's a 70/30 chance drivers go first instead of...
