We cannot say enough good things about Tahoe Luxury Properties, or the chalet, Silverfell, that they prepared for us. Ten of us go on a ski holiday every Christmas, and Silverfell is the finest property we have ever let. It lacked for nothing. It is nice to have a rental that has every appointment we could have needed. We brought a chef, and the kitchen was not only stocked with all the spices and equipment she would need, but it had place settings for twelve and the space to seat everyone. There was no need for that first-day trip to the store to get all the things that most kitchens should already have. We were fully stocked. It is particularly nice that no expense was spared on every accouterment; the coffee mugs are very large and plentiful, the kitchen knives are legitimate, there is gradient heating in the floors, there are lots of throw pillows, the bedding is well layered, and the bedroom cupboards have more pillow and blanket options… you get the point. The two-car garage is attached to a large Mud Room that had plenty of room for all our skis, hooks for our coats, and shelves for our individual gloves, hats, helmets, and gear. It is such a time saver to be getting ready to go out and not have to search through the pile of glove liners to find my own. It is even nicer that the washer/dryer are right there, so on the one rainy day when everyone was soaked, we were not forced to hang clothes in every bathroom. The Great Room is ideal for cards and has enough large tables so we could start jigsaw puzzles, as well as the year-end New York Times mega-crossword, and there is plenty of comfortable seating to watch the big screen. It is nice to have big gas fireplaces (in both the Living room and the Master Bedroom), as well as a hot tub located just two steps out of the living room door. We used the tub every day, and it is typical of the type of service provided by Tahoe Luxury Properties that there was a basket of towels just inside the living room door for when we came in from the tub. We did not have to bring down our bath towels. The showers are hot and the water pressure more than adequate, and the steam shower in the Master bath is a great post-ski option. Dealing with Tahoe Luxury Properties is like dealing with the most luxe of Five-Star resorts. They do everything first class. There were a ton of variables on this vacation: can we bring the dog, is there room if my college roommate stops by for two nights, do we have to fly into Reno, and even though Epic is closed…can we arrange Epic Mix Passes? All these issues (and many more) were dealt with swiftly and purposefully by Jessie and Danni. Nothing was ever a problem to them. For example, we were arriving from all over the world, and we had shipped things in advance. We did not have to go to the Rental Office to pick up our gear; the folks from Tahoe Luxury Properties delivered all the goods that were waiting for us when we arrived late Tuesday night. It is such a comforting feeling of relief to walk in the door and see our skis already there.
