I visited Carmel Sunset Beach recently and was blown away by the stunning beauty of the white sandy shoreline, turquoise waves, and the peaceful ambiance. The beach stretches wide, offering plenty of space to relax, walk, or simply take in the views. It gets lively with families, pets, and travelers, but it still feels serene. As the sun begins to set, the view becomes magical — the sky turns into shades of orange, pink, and purple while the sun reflects beautifully on the water. It’s one of the most romantic and calming sunset spots I’ve ever experienced. Surrounded by rolling hills and cypress trees, the whole setting feels like a scene from a painting. Carmel Sunset Beach is a beautiful place and set with a lovely sweeping bay.

Even though it is popular with many visitors and locals, its peace and charm is totally unaffected.

When people visit this lovely beach they respect its peaceful environment making a great place to spend some time especially, enjoying the setting sun.

Super soft and clean sand gently sloping down to the sea and the occasional washed up tree gives a few places to sit whilst watching the sun go down.

On a clear day the horizon, sky and sea gradually change colour whilst the pelicans fly up and down the shoreline searching for a late meal.

Carmel Sunset Beach is beautiful and well worth spending the evening at to enjoy this daily...

This is a great beach. I loved the soft white sand, it's very "tropical". I'd never been here before and found it interesting how it slopes down to the ocean, but that also means you have a good view of the water from everywhere. We walked the whole length of the beach, there's bathrooms (almost) at both ends. There was no parking by the time we got there around 2, but the blocks are short so we parked in the neighborhoods and walked down. Not too bad.
