Just rode the MONON trail this week. Beautiful weather, perfect for riding. However the trail runs through areas under construction and its blocked and rerouted in parts. There is a long stretch north and south of the 96 street entrance. Carmel was nice. But after Westfield, its broken up. We turned around at the Grind Stone restaurant. Going south from 96th you can go a long stretch until you meet a closed sign. Turn around at that point. If you follow the detour signs you end up on another trail and in a bad area. On the way back north, we did stop for lunch at a great BARBQ place that was friendly to bikes. Other than that the south end was not worth it. I recommend waiting until the construction...
