Passengers BEWARE - Before heading to fly home we always look at airport reviews to know what to expect. Upon reading reviews for this airport, there are multiple saying they have expensive items that come missing out of their bags, so we were a bit worried but just put everything of value in our carry on as you're supposed to. When we go to board our carry ons were LITERALLY CONFISCATED FROM US. We were told they were going to be checked and they stated there wasn't enough room. We obviously weren't okay with this as we had valuable items and money in there and we didn't want that bag to be handled with checked baggage as for one, we can't see our stuff and second they are rough and things frequently end up broken. Upon boarding my husband was speaking to me, saying if any of his things were missing, or broken that he was going to try to sue delta for confiscating our carry on luggage for no good reason. One of the flight attendants standing at the front during the board must have been eavesdropping and said "good luck" with a snarky tone. And my husband replied that we were worried about our bags as they were not supposed to be checked, and had valuable items and money in them. The disregard concern. Wants making it on the plane we immediately get out our phones to start video taping because we were told there wasn't enough room for our carry-ons which is why they were being checked, yet there were multiple totally empty overhead bins, and it was very far from being full. After they saw us videotaping they changed their answer so that it was due to time and that the plane needed to leave. However they ended up kicking us off of our flight, rather than trying to affirm any of our concerns about our baggage that was being taken or anything. We had a layover and really needed our carry-ons. They didnt care. Don't fly DELTA AIRLINES HERE. THEY WILL JUST TAKE YOUR CARRY ONS WITH NO Explanations.

Small airport, everything is within walking distance. We landed around 4 AM, it was very late, every shop was closed. In covid time- you need to fill an online form which can be shown before exiting the airport. it is a must or spends some time at the airport in filling these. in the pic you can see, officials are there for the covid check. * We landed at T-A and walked around 500 meters to the Uber designated area. even at late-night, uber is easy to find and it's not expensive and it can be trusted. * Wayfinding and map displays are weak at the airport. Landside dining options are limited, and those airside are based on large fast-food chains. The lack of free WiFi is poor. * duty-free shops or dining option- all are closed after 10-11 PM. not much option. * while catching returning flight to mainland USA- you need to inspect all luggage items through the checkpoint. they put some color code stickers on your items, which is a must before baggage check-in. * All the terminals are within walking distance. * At the airport you will find around 14 different car rental companies, but we had booked at Routes, so it's a shuttle away from the airport. * Rideshares like Uber can pick you up at the designated area on the ground floor of Terminals A and B. We did not face any issues but you know every experience is different. right? my review is based on my experience. Both flights (departure/arrival) - it was late-night so in pictures, you won't see crowd or open shops.

To get to the registration counters is easy not much distance if you are dropped up front. I always like to use the service from the luggage carriers (Maleteros) is just easier with them... all luggages must go through USDA customs... this where the 'Maleteros' come in handy! just remember to tip them at least 2 to 3 dollars per luggage 🧳 if I exceed from 6 I just give them a 20.00 because I also carry the car seats 💺 believe me is worth it if you are carrying a bunch of luggages by your self. The airport is kind of ugly and pretty 😀 it just need some TLC, I think it is under renovations. But if you are traveling with Jetblue that area is beautiful and new and also has better restaurant options.. Speaking of restaurants they all close early if you plan to travel overnight I recommend you bring something to eat because you could find yourself starving. And if you find something it will cost you a lot... for example a bottle of water could cost you 7.00 dollars! Bathrooms are kind of clean they defenetly could be better. There are barely electric plugs to charge your phone, what we do is bring a Multiplug and if someone is already connected We can share the plug... If you are using there Parking, remember to take a picture of where you parked. Its about 25.00 dollars per day.. remember you have to pay on one of the machines that are beside the elevators 🛗.

Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (IATA: SJU, ICAO: TJSJ, FAA LID: SJU) (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional Luis Muñoz Marín, known as Isla Verde International Airport/Aeropuerto Internacional de Isla Verde, until renamed in February 1985) is a joint civil-military international airport named for Puerto Rico's first democratically elected governor and located in suburban Carolina, Puerto Rico, three miles (five kilometers) southeast of San Juan. It is the busiest airport in the Caribbean region by passenger traffic. Over 4 million passengers board a plane at the airport per year according to the Federal Aviation Administration, making it the 48th busiest airport overseen by said federal agency. The airport is owned by the Puerto Rico Ports Authority and managed by Aerostar Airport Holdings, a public–private partnership which was awarded a lease by the government of Puerto Rico to operate and manage the airport for 40 years beginning in 2013. SJU is the second international airport to be privatized in the United States or its territories, and, as of 2013, is the only currently privatized airport in the nation. Taxis and rental cars can transport travelers to and from the airport. The airport serves as a gateway to the Caribbean islands. SJU covers 1,600 acres (647 ha) of land. #fivestarcalifornia

This is not aceptable and unfair for passengers that came to use the restroom at 9:39 AM and found the barhrooms in C6 in this deplorable conditions. My mom is a handicap 75 yrs old and had to deal with this situation in the middle of this pandemic. I told my mom that it was ashame and that someone will take pictures and reported. Suddenly one of the ladies that was cleaning start arguing wuth me because I told that to my mom. There was water in the floor without a wet floor sign in that area. They have one wet floor sign in the area they were mopping but no in front of the sinks where wet flior was. She said that passengers had to give them time to clean. I told her first, the bathroom was open with no sign that was being cleaning. Second, the bathroom were supposed to be cleaned and desinfected the night before so the early flight passengers can use them more confortable abd avoid the spread of Covid. The lady continue arguing and then left. She refused to give me her name or employer ID., had no name tag at all. How in the world PR expect the Covid 19 cases go down if they dont help with the cleaning guidence. There was no towel paper and from 3 air dryers only 1 was wirking. Then they said in the news that the Covid cases are increasing because if the tourists. This makes me mad
