Global lounge, San Juan, Puerto Rico This lounge and I now have an intimate relationship. Thanks to #jetblue we’ve been stuck here for two days. Lost nearly a $1000 in accommodation and transfer fees and very upset with the airline. But anyway, yesterday we came here thinking we’d only be an hour or two, but it was 6 hours until they closed the doors and chucked everyone out. Which is a pain when at midnight you realise your flight is cancelled and they have to put you up in a hotel. Dehydrated and hungry for a real meal, we were very angry. The lounge is small. I mean, very small. In one area, there are lovely club chairs but only 10 of them plus a half dozen side tables and a tv which seems to be preprogrammed to mainstream sport or game shows. There is an area for business with desk space and another seating area which were closed off on our second visit. The food is blah. Caesar salad the size of a serving for a child or pasta salad, again, not even a half cup full. The beans rice and meatballs were heated in a microwave, which melted the cling wrap onto the meal. Tossed it. The bar is minimal. The usual drinks but don’t expect a sangria or pina colada. I settled for a gin and tonic or red wine. Coffee machine looks good and there are plenty of soft drinks or beer. Only one of the 4 small spaces have a departure board. Frustrating when your delays are coming in every half hour! Staff aren’t inspired by their job but are generous with the vodka in a Bloody Mary. Woo hoo. Had to stop drinking. No toilets here which means a 500m walk to the toilets between A2 a A3. Now that is crazy stupid! Yesterday was crazy busy with so many Jet Blue flights cancelled. No seats and parents with little kids or those in a wheelchair were turned away to suffer at the boarding gate that they’d never get to use. Abandoned by the lounge, and after four hours being told our flight was cancelled, we gave up. Will never fly Jet Blue again. Take me back to the #qantaslounge in Australia please.

Read moreThis lounge’s overall appeal is just fine, however the staff does leave a lot to be desired. The staff exudes an air of incompetence and indifference or possibly inherent bias toward certain clientele. The supplies weren’t stocked despite the very sparse patronage at this time of day. I am traveling with my two young children, I placed an order for the breakfast immediately upon entry, and waited while 4 other patrons that entered after my arrival were served; assumed it to be an oversight so did not address it. There weren’t anymore mugs at the antiquated coffee station, I asked for one, again waited as I should, but only for the attendant to negligently hand me a soaking wet mug with her soaking wet hands. At that point, having a Priority Pass access to this place meant nothing with this sort of horrendous service. This was an unfortunate experience, after a...
Read moreSummary: Breakfast was tiny and was seemingly heated up frozen food (mini pancakes and sausage). -No toilet paper in the bathrooms Outdated couches and tables. -Hot food that was available had to be brought out and set on the counter 1-2 plates at a time and the available fruit was brought out in plastic covered bowls. -Nestle coffee machines that shot out a glass of milk and only a splash of coffee, barely any honey or sugar to add. -There was toast but it was just a bag of bread next to a toaster, and some cereal and a carton of milk. Very small space.
If not a priority pass member it costs $42 per person, which is very overpriced and you would be much better off eating in...
