This is the closest you'll get to feeling like you're in a grocery store from the United States. The aisles are clean and somewhat organized, and they have a decent ready to eat food court. The only issue is that when you check out, you will have to make sure the price of your item matches the advertised price on the shelf. Pueblo is not very good at updating their barcode pricing system. I've had to call them on it multiple times at checkout, and then I feel like a jerk because the people behind me have to wait while they verify the price against the products shelf sticker. I'm not sure if it is intentional, thinking that the consumer will just pay and no one will notice. If you have a feeling that your entire purchase was a little expensive, most likely you got ripped off, and there were a couple of items that were double the actual price. Some items on the shelves don't even have prices on the shelves, so you could pay an outrageous amount, and you couldn't even question it at check out. Obviously, they are using an old system because most grocery stores have barcode numbers on the shelf stickers so you can match it against product barcode...at Pueblo, you have to validate the product by comparing it to some arbitrary abbreviated description. So, FYI... double-check your prices when...
Read moreWell, the only thing I have to complain about is their prices although for the sector it is they are right and it is open 24/7, large store, well stocked. Most things looked good except for the seafood, don't you dare buying oysters or any "fresh" seafood, you will be in peril. Service with a smile, although most of the time there are only two cashiers. Bring ID if buying alcohol or cigarettes, there is a 100% ID check always. You'll be expected to bring your own bags or buy from them. The parking is well lit and there is a security officer watching over. They have a deli which is NOT open at evenings, only like from 6:00 to 6:00, daytime. Four stars because of the prices and because of the seafood at the meat counter, I can tell they are not up to the task, and finally, if you come from stateside you may find all your known brands from US. If you are touristing in the hotel area it is a great choice, just stay away from the seafood, just not fresh at all.

Read moreGroceries are pricey, but that's to be expected in any tourist area. Hot food specials are why I go there. Everything they make is good or great. You can live off $20 a day in there comfortably. That's pretty good for a tourist area and it's actual Puerto Rican food. Even the coffee is awesome and cheap. I suggest taking your breakfast to go, eating on the beach. Access is only a 10-15 minute walk away. Come back at lunch and grab that AND dinner so you don't have to go back later. Everything reheats well in a microwave or oven. If you're staying locally as a tourist in one of the hotels, this place is a must. Avoid Supermax down the street. If you're closer to Supermax, do you, but I'd walk or Uber to this spot everyday of I was on a tight budget and was trying to save money for activities rather than fine dining. Hope this helps and have a...
