Espresso Lab Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Carolina

I have been visiting Puerto Rico and have been having amazing time. Tonight is my last night in Puerto Rico and wanting to get the most out of my trip, I decide to go and get a coffee which I was totally excited about. I get to the coffee shop and there’s a sign saying the barista is on break for 30 minutes. It was about 6:30pm and the shop closes at 7. I am on vacation so I’m cool I don’t have anywhere to be. I patiently wait 15 minutes for the barista to get off of break. I could tell she had an attitude the min she saw me sitting there. I asked her if I could order coffee from her and with agitation she says yeah as soon as I finish setting up, . So she lays out cookies, cakes, muffins, a basket of chips and crackers and a tip jar. They were about to close so that seemed odd but it is what is. I asked for a frozen toffee nut latte and asked if she could add caramel. She makes an ice coffee and when I stated that I wanted it frozen she said I didn’t say that, but I clearly did when I initially placed my order. She charged me an extra dollar for and didn’t even add it to my “iced coffee”. I usually wouldn’t waste my time w a review but I honestly did not deserve her attitude. I truly love Puerto Rico and have been bragging about how great the people are here and it’s unfortunate I was treated poorly on my last night. I usually tip well because for one I believe in rewarding good service, 2 i have too worked for tips before and I have family members that work for tips. I was still going to tip her despite the way she treated me initially because I really had hopes that her attitude would have turned around but it didn’t. The service and coffee are both phenomenal. Our barista, Paola, was so kind and made sure we all were getting what we wanted, asking if we wanted flavors and guiding us on coffee styles. She prepared our coffees expertly, including foam art. The coffee itself was rich, managing to taste creamy with hints of chocolate without any flavor.
