I would be extremely wary of this company. I do not think they are a legitimate operation. Long version: I called their number and was connected with an operator who said she could connect me with a technician to come service my car. He called just a few minutes later, but was unable to provide same-day service, so I informed him I would be calling around. He quickly said, “no don’t worry, I can send out someone else from my company right now!” A few minutes later, I was contacted again by “Ivan,” supposedly from the same company. We made arrangements and he came out to service the vehicle. (It was an ignition issue, where the key would not turn in the lock. I have now learned that many locksmiths routinely make this repair several times a week and it is a fairly straightforward fix that takes about 20 minutes). However, “Ivan” said he was having trouble and had someone on FaceTime the entire time walking him through the procedure. He spent 2 hours trying to make the repair, and was unable to do so, but said he would get a new ignition for me and come install it at my house (he was able to jimmy-rig my vehicle so that I could get it home.) The next day, he came to my home and installed the new ignition and provided me with two new keys he had cut. Great. He asked to be paid in cash and did not provide a receipt (I should have asked for one). At first, my vehicle functioned properly, but after 3 or 4 times driving it the key suddenly became extremely difficult to insert into the ignition. I had read online that this is usually a warning sign that the ignition cylinder is going bad and will need to be replaced. I was worried I would get stranded somewhere as it was clear the keys he cut were going to stop working soon. I called the company to ask if someone (preferable someone with more experience) could come fix the job. The operator said there is no “Ivan” in the company. I explained the situation and that I had only talked with someone from her company originally, who referred “Ivan” to me. She looked up the phone number of the original locksmith and also insisted that he was not someone from her company. I believe this is a lie, as they were the only company I called. I believe there are multiple lies being told here, but because I paid in cash and don’t have a receipt, there’s not a lot I can do at this point. The operator insisted there was nothing she could do. I would advise you to steer clear of this company! Maybe there are some legit locksmiths here but it seems that they are running a scam for...
Read moreI used this locksmith to make me a key for my truck after I could not find the original. They were quick at getting out and their pricing was reasonable ($350). There was a bit of an issue after I found my key a week later - it would no longer work. When I called dispatch and explained the situation, they said it was not a problem and that they could get someone out the next day. I asked what the charge would be and, after putting me on a brief hold, told me no charge. When the locksmith showed up, he was very short (he was like this the first time he was out). Not at all friendly, but whatever, I wasn't going to be having coffee with him anyway. I tested the keys and then he surprisingly told me that the charge was about $160 to reprogram my original key. He was clearly flabbergasted and appaled that I would expect the service to be no cost. He started be to confrontational telling me that the dispatchers are not locksmiths and did not know what they were talking about. I then told him that I too am not a locksmith and had no way of knowing that my original key would no longer work. He then called his supervisor. During the call with the supervisor, he was being condescending in front of me and telling his supervisor that he did not drive an hour out to me for free. Depite this quite unfriendly individual,I am giving this company 5-stars because of how managment handled the situation. As a business owner, we cannot always control what our staff does, but we can control how we react. The locksmith had management on speakerphone (again, unprofessional) and told this guy to stop being unprofessional or rude to me (I can't remember the words). This meant a lot. The locksmith then turned to me and asked if he was acting this way, to which I confirmed. Management then told him not to charge me and that they would settle up with him. He stomped off. I can strongly say that this locksmith should not be working with people, but the manager deserves a bonus. Thank you for resolving my problem quickly and handling the issue in a...
Read moreI would never recommend this place. I had them come over, it took him hours to do 4 locks. He messed up my brand new door handle, I had to explain to him that he broke it. Thankfully Home Depot exchanged it for me. Not only did he have to come back to re key it he ruined my newly resurfaced hardwood floor. I had to have the floor people come back out. The lock smith tried to get me to negotiate with the floor people for his mistakes. When the guy came over again he continued to drop things on my floor. After almost another 2 hours he still didn't fix my lock. I decided to try Acoma, took the lock down there. He had it done in less than 5 min. Miles High is not professional and don't even have a shop you can go to physically. Not to mention they have no standard price. They say its a certain amount, but then have all these other "fees" in at the total. Go with Acoma, it will save you...
