It is no secret that automatic car washes are one of the most common culprits of minor damage to a car. In writing this negative review, the Customer Service at Cathedral City Car Wash was nonexistent. I'd like to elaborate; I came into this place for a simple car wash but came out with more than I asked for. In fact, I received an average wash and was given the gift of a scratch on my rim as a memorable experience.
After receiving the wash, I had a gut instinct to inspect my vehicle, and I did. To my suspicion, I was right. Even though my car was brand new, I was not upset because I knew the world was imperfect. But what really grinds my gears (In this case, my rim) is that the staff flat-right refused to accept any responsibility for the possible damages. They tried to gaslight me into thinking their equipment was perfect and not their fault.
All I wanted was a remedy to fix this simple little issue, but all I received was skepticism and denial. I was getting fed up with their assumptions that I received this scratch beforehand, but being a perfectionist, I always inspect my car for damages every time I go out. I know this scratch was absent before entering their so-called "car wash". I asked the lady at the counter for an incident/damage report form to fill out and was told that one did not exist. So, I asked the agitated lady if they could fix the scratch, and she went along to get one of the other workers to speak with me, and he proceeded to tell me that they didn't have the resources to fix it.
That said, I would not recommend this place if you have a brand-new vehicle because they have nothing in place to remedy their liability. So, I was left with nothing but one thing. The thing is a quote that I remember one of the workers vividly telling me. That is, "Just don't come here again", and that was the best advice they could've given in their position. I recently revisited your establishment after approximately a year and was persuaded by the new management to sign up for the unlimited car wash service, which was promised to be all hand wash with no machines involved. However, during my visit, I observed my car going through a machine, though I did not see any rubber brushes in operation. My primary concern and disappointment arose when I found various parts of my car, such as the dashboards, doors, cupholders, and windshield, inadequately cleaned after the service.
Understandably, I decided to give the benefit of the doubt and hope for an improvement in subsequent visits since I have already paid for the unlimited Car Wash service for this month. Despite my efforts to rectify the cleaning issues on my own, I have been left dissatisfied with the results. As someone who values good customer service, having worked in the hospitality industry for many years, I believe in providing top-notch service to all customers regardless of the circumstances.
Although I have decided to give your establishment another chance due to the pre-paid service, I feel compelled to express my disappointment. While I have gone above the standard tipping etiquette with the anticipation of receiving quality service, I must highlight the importance of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, especially considering the premium price of $65 per month for the service.

I originally went because my experience has been that car detailing can take over an hour and I knew that target and trader Joe’s were in the same parking lot so I could get some errands done. My car was an absolute disaster but they were so nice and check in was super easy. I was even able to pay a bit extra for them to remove some makeup that had melted in my center console and they were SO NICE about it. I chose the “the works” option which includes inside and outside cleaning for $30!! I went inside to pay and the woman at the from counter was so friendly and sweet (Daviana? I’m so sorry I’m not sure how to spell your name but you are amazing!!!) I was even able to withdrawal cash for tip right there at the counter. I asked her how long it would take so I knew how long I had to shop and she said my car would be done in 25 MINUTES! I was so excited. Now for the waiting room: the bathroom smelled excellent and was very clean which is great but the waiting room was beautiful, clean and comfortable with complimentary coffee, snacks and other drinks for sale, every magazine you could dream of, a coloring station for kiddos and windows where you can watch your car go through the machine thing. (I’m often toting my 4 year old niece….these things make a difference) I grabbed a Coke Zero, called my sister to tell her about how much I love this car wash and chilled in a comfy seat for 25 minutes and my car was done! Beautifully cleaned inside and out! I know that this review seems intense for a car wash.
