Almost perfect! If only they had heavy cream for the coffee it'd be 5*. I'm surprised such a nice place with crepes & top-notch selection of bakery goods doesn't have this basic ingredient. Had to make do with 1/2 & 1/2đ but they poured in so much my Americano was more like a heavy latte. They did fix it tho & my green smoothie was out of this world delicious. Best I ever had. Love that my coffee was served in a HUGE mug/bowl & comes with cheap refills. Awesome! And even better, they have several gluten-free bakery items including GF quiche & my all time fav lemon bars! A tad expensive but worth it just to even have those available. The food looks so delicious but I was full by then from my huge smoothie served in tall glass jar. There are multiple seating options, including cafe booths and outdoor patio and some high-back chairs that makes for nice gathering spot. Wish their was a couch or more comfy chairs for us 1/2 asleep coffee drinkers with bad backs but still, nice Frenchy kind of place. Even the bathroom is nice & they thoughtfully provide diapers on a sweet changing table for new moms. There's a lot to love about this cafe. I'll be back! Almost forgot, next day they sent email with $5 off my next visit. Please get some heavy whip cuz I...
Read more45 min wait for 1 drip coffee and 2 pastires for takeout.. These girls need guidance! Where is the leader?? They all seem lost. No managers helping.. A bit silly for all the 5 stars they have.
Update, I won't be back.. 50min I left with no coffee and no food.. Interesting way to run a business.
Over heard others talking about the wait and being a little confused half the people where finished but the wait still proceeded.
The guy next to me got a bloody mary, it had a huge piece of meat in it, they called it bacon, it looked disgusting, his wife was commenting on how big the bacon was and he just put it aside Another update. I understand it's Mother's Day, and ya don't say.. however the restaurant was half full when I was there. If you are the manager you need to step up the game or be there and guide your employees. And I'm sorry but I only ordered a drip coffee to go and they only had to pull the pastries out of the case and put...
Read morewas standing at the counter deciding what to order when an older gentleman raved about the rugelach pastries. I had never heard of them, and now i've learned they are a traditional Jewish pastry. I also found out how sweet and delicious they are, because the owner was so kind and gave me one no charge because she wanted me to try it. It was flaky pastry filled with fig...yum!
I read my book as I sipped an iced coffee and a delicious savory crepe. There were so many sweet and savory options. I chose the prosciutto, spinach and fig...three ingredients that you can't go wrong with!
This is a shop that I will definitely return to as I enjoyed the quiet space, the kind owner, the friendly patrons, and the wonderful crepes! Plus, Cave Creek is such a fun, quaint old west town with lots to see.
Check out more adventures @msbusyblonde...
