Etant (being) French myself,Le Sans Souci ( without worries or no worries)... maybe should. We were greeted by some teen age girls with very little professionalism at all.
The service
Having been a waiter myself many years ago, i was surprised of the lack of attention the table around us had gotten, including ours.
The salad
The salad was a huge failure. Chopped up Romaine Lettuce with a tomato wedge and a very light drizzle of dressing. Nothing else. Mc Donald salad are so much better, specially with fries and ranch.
The bread.
This was another failure. You would think that baguette would be served in a place that is supposed to be a French restaurant right ?... well no. Instead, it came from the rack at Walmart of the just about to be expired item where they put the pies, and unsold breads.
The entrees
The entrees however were good. Again they were good,, but i have had better. My shrimps, scallops and sole fish were great, but again nothing that would make me want to come back. My girl's dish was also good, but also nothing spectacular that would make you close your eyes and want to dance in the kitchen.
The dessert
My chocolate Moose, as our waitress spelled it was somewhat ok. But if you know a real mousse compare to this, it too was a disappointment. My co pilot slice of chocolate cake with mousse was ok, but i think that this cake is not made in house.
The service.
The kids were polite, but very very inefficient. They need some real training.
The bar.
So, some old guy from the bar came to our table and asked us if we wanted anything, and because we don't drink, when we said"no, but thank you",, he walked away so fast, he may as well said " well F you than".
Anyway, some people have left 5 stars, and i would say to those kind people to go and find some other places with 5 stars and they will see that Le sans soucis does not hold its name. The cheesecake factory for example , even with such a extensive menu, will blow the doors off this place.
So one star from us, and it's too bad because there is a great potential for what could be a; truly great place.
Oh.. one more thing.
The windows...
Clean the windows for God sake. There is no excuse for dirty windows .. That's...
Read moreThe staff was friendly and worked hard. It's more of a inspired French restaurant. Needs attention to details. Unimpressed with the food. $3.00 for Roquefort dressing on romaine lettuce. I liked the flavor, too vinegary for husband. Needed more chunks of Roquefort. Rather have more of a baggett for the French bread. The pate plate was sad. Need more than one small jerkin, tomoto needed to be sliced not a huge chunk. Lemon wedge please. Escargot was good, prefer baked in dish so have more garlic goodness to dip bread in. Soup meh. Husband had the Hotel maitre d. Meh My beef brochettes was tasty, bacon raw. The beets on the side were delicious, just not enough. Broccoli over boiled no flavor not even salt and pepper, the sliced potatoes were good. Just not enough side serving. Creme Brulee was good but tipped over so lost the crunchy sugar topping. The Girls worked hard, were pleasant. No dedicated Bartender on Tuesday night. Big mistake. Girls waiting tables, mixing cocktails, bussing, resetting tables. They worked for their money. Ditch the steak Diane, too close quarters for all the flames and it looked grey and unappetizing. Personally I don't care to go home smelling like I cooked dinner. Bus person needs training. Please do not bring me flatware on a dirty bus tray. That was most disgusting. Present clean flatware on a clean linen lined plate or tray. Because no decated Bartender, the bar area was a bit messy. Overall we give the restaurant 3 out of 5. Have been in the Food and Beverage Industry for...
Read moreBad experience! Had checked out this restaurant online and after a day of fun w/ friends at the Hideaway ( right down the street ) I took my girl in to try their French Onion Soup. I've been dying to see how great their soup is at $14 a bowl. When we came in the person in front was busy seating a couple so we grabbed a seat at the bar. After several minutes of not seeing a bartender, nor being advised there actually WAS NO BARTENDER,...we asked someone if we could get a menu and a cocktail. We were told the bar wasn't open on Sundays. No problem,...can we be seated? The guy who we later found to be the manager smugly asked if we had a reservation? We said no but we only stopped in to try the soup. We were advised that without a reservation we could not be seated. This was very early... maybe 4-5 and the place couldn't have been more than 10% full yet we were refused service. Plan B we had a $200 dinner at Cartwright's down the street.... was EXCELLENT btw.
Shame on you Le Sans Souci for being arrogant, rude and unaccommodating. Did you forget you're in the...
