This review is long overdue… My daughter and I absolutely love this place! Always friendly service and the food is consistently good. We’ve been slowly working through the menu but tend to get caught up with our favorites so it’s a good thing when they change things up. It forces us to try different items. My daughter still misses their Cuban Pizza & Cuban Sandwich with the unconventional fried pickles (sounds weird but so oddly good). However, she found a new favorite last night, their new Black Truffle & Mushroom Pizza. It’s my new favorite too!
Cowboy Pizza is not just great pizza (amazing crust!), you have to check out the rest of the menu as well... Our favorites are the stuffed artichokes (real full hearts, not the marinated quartered things you’re probably thinking of), giant meatball (they truly are giant!), silly to mention, but they have a nice side garden salad (portion is overly generous, and more than just greens and croutons, which is one of the many reasons we go), and the best part for us is you can order just a slice (even at night) if you want to try something different or if you just can’t agree on what to get. If you order a sandwich, don’t pass up on the homemade chips either. (Something we’ve found: When you get them to go they’re not as good unless you leave them out overnight or toss them in an air fryer for a couple minutes when you get home.. Condensation from the hot sandwich changes them).
Not a traditional pizza menu but they do have traditional choices for those not adventurous. We love the creative menu choices,...
Read moreWe loved our experience with Cowboy Pizza and it was FABULOUS! The crust was the best. If you go on the website, look at the information in the "About the Products." Being an aspiring at home pizza chef, I'm all about trying the tips about longer fermentation and mixing whole milk mozzarella along with part-skim mozzarella. Right now I use only whole milk mozzarella! We ordered a whole pie and being from Ohio, we opted to have the pizza served in square pieces. The crust is incredible. Maybe the patron who wrote the previous review might want to eat at the restaurant, have it cut in squares and see if it is a different experience for her. We found it to be one of the best out of town pizzas ever when we basically didn't receive a recommendation to go there. The toppings and cheese were the perfect amounts for us. We ordered more traditional toppings but the menu is full of inventive and interesting options. We placed our order with Haley. She is sweet and friendly. She took real good care of us. And we knew Cowboy Pizza was next door to the fabulous restaurant Brunch, but we didn't realize until we were in the dining room that the two restaurants are owned by the same people and connected. Both are absolutely worth checking out. You won't be disappointed. ...
Read moreI got slices here when they first opened and enjoyed them. Yesterday, I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza to go. The crust was super thin. The grease penetrated all the way through the crust, making it so flimsy that you couldn't pick up the pizza slice without it folding in half. There was also very little cheese, and the slice was smaller than before. Here is the slice after I took one bite of it. I added mozzarella at home (not pictured), so there was more substance. I told a friend about my experience and found out she had almost the identical experience two days earlier- it was her first experience. She said the toppings on her pizza were generous, but she could not pick it up to eat it because the crust would not support the toppings and had to use a fork. We both decided we would take a break and maybe try again in the future to see if the slices return to a normal size and see if the crust gets thicker again. The cashier was very friendly, and the slice came out in about 5 mins. I really wanted to support this local business, I'm disappointed in the product, especially because it's not an...
