Great facilities, but ZERO customer service and inaccurate information on their website. We love our hometown, community pool but the staff working the front desk is continuously rude, unwelcoming and poorly trained on basic customer service skills. We have come to this pool hundreds of times and will continue to come because itās the only one in town. But, always call ahead before you get your kidsā hopes up and drive your family to go swimming. The hours posted on their website are not always accurate and change regularly. In addition, donāt expect the staff to ever be welcoming. Every time we bring our family here, they are rude and seem put-off that we are coming to swim. I once was the only person in line at the concession stand and stood there for 7 minutes before the girl working even acknowledged my young son and I. A few weeks ago, we stood in line for 10 minutes to pay. Once we finally made it to the counter, she told us she was about to get off work and that we would need to go to the end of the OTHER line. We also came to swim during Spring Break. We got there at 5:54pm, we paid, THEN the girl working told us that they were closing at 6pm (the website said they closed at 8pm). So, they needed to get special permission to refund our money! We bought an annual pass two years ago. It was worth it for the Summer, but once Fall/Winter came, they were so short staffed that they were closing early or were not open at all. We asked if we could get credit for the several of weeks that they were closed and they said that was not possible. I have anxiety every time we prepare to go swimmingā¦.I find myself thinking āwhat will happen this time?ā Will we keep coming to swim? Yes. Will we keep having bad experiences here?...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I used to like it, but I've had some weird experiences here.
First, my friends and I were swimming and minding our business when one of my friends told me a guy was staring at her. So I look, and sure enough, a scary looking man is staring intensely at us. OK, odd... We keep playing and swimming when he starts coming towards us?? He was making eye contact with us and aggressively swimming towards us, so of course we jumped out of the pool, and as I'm looking back, he jumped out of the pool and was running after us? Keep eye contact the whole time. luckily, we didn't see him again, but that was a really scarring and odd experience for us.
Second, it's not really a weird experience, but none of the lifeguards seem to pay attention? They chat with their buddies and ignore the kids' swimming š
The locker rooms are incredibly disgusting and old. They are overpriced, the waterside really hurts your back because it's uneven, and the water is cloudy, musty, and has hair/bandages...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis facility is nice and clean. The staff was also helpful, greeted us with a smile, and was friendly. The floor for the kids area is a rubberized non-slip flooring - this makes it fantastic for families with small kids. The water features are fun and exciting for little kids. There is a 3 foot deep wading pool and a lazy river. The outdoor pool is great and has a diving board. My only complaint was that they would let small kids into the hotter. This is bad for two reasons - first, heat stroke can happen to anyone, but small kids can be more susceptible, and none of the life guards were managing this. 2nd, kids were supposed to be accompanied by a parent, and that wasn't happening either. At one point a small kids was jumping into the hottub like it was a play pool, and no one was monitoring them. This is a good place, but the management needs to keep a better eye...
