I went to this store on 11/3/16 to get my wife a new phone for her birthday that they totally ruined.
they attempted to rip me off by trying to slide in a warranty charge after I said I didn't want it. Then insulting me and my wife with snide statements in front of everyone in the store including other customers below because we demanded removal of the charge:
Brook: stated I was making things more difficult than they needed to be because they were just trying to give me free stuff (to the tune of a $79.99 warranty they get commission on most likely) and that dealing with me made her need to drink. (but she had been badmouthing other customers right in the open so guess her unprofessional behavior should not be surprising). She then split my refund into 2 separate transactions.
Again this was their error in trying to sneak a warranty charge in. She advised 1 part of my refund would have to come by return on my card and the other by check. HMMM - nice that they mess up and I have to wait to get my money back that they fraudulently charged me.
essentially they charged me over $350 for a correct charge of $121.91. Additionally, we were to receive 2 accessories up to $50 each (you pay the difference if the accessory was extra which is fair) My wife picked a $39.95 glass shield which they immediately removed from her phone after putting it on - it is unclear why the took the accessory off that was due because we declined the glass warranty. So she did not get the accessory she was due.
After numerous calls to customer service requesting to speak with a manager I received a call back from Michael - who apparently is not a manager who proceeded to advise me that the refund issue was my fault because the rep who processed our transaction had showed us the bill before charging our card (THIS DID NOT HAPPEN - NOTHING WAS SHOWN TO US - AND I ASKED THE GIRL OUTRIGHT IF SHE WAS PUTTING ANY OTHER CHARGES ON IT BECAUSE I DID NOT WANT IT PRIOR TO RINGING IT UP) She confirmed that she hadn't which was a lie.
At the end of it. I received the call from the district manager noted above who assured me that they would resolve the refund and get me my accessory due to me - this was on 11/7.
I did not get the money refunded to my card back until 11/09 (7 days) and have yet to get the balance of my refund of over $82 that I was advised would be mailed in a check form to me on 11/07. To date I continue to get the run around about the money due to me and when I called the store yesterday to get an update on the refund and accessory another snarky ignorant employee Sam (assistant manager) advised me he didn't know where the corporate office was, could not tell me anything about the check and I would get it when I get it. (now 13 days later) I requested a call from the district manager Evan - still no call from him.
These people are just rip off artists and you better hope that they don't over charge you - good luck getting your money back - next stop will be a complaint to the Utah district atty and better...

They told us that our plan was “obsolete” and could put us on a new plan that would add a line and still cost the same as what we were paying because our old plan was so outdated and the current promotion was much better than our old plan. We said ok, sounds good as long as we are not on contract. Guess what? It now costs us $30 more per month than what we were paying. So much for the bill not going up. Second, we bought a new phone and said we wanted to buy it outright rather than having the cost of the phone added to the monthly bill. The salesman told us we could do that, but could save some money by trading in the old phone which would be applied as a direct discount on the new phone. We said sure, sounds great! The bill comes and we see that each month we’re charged $20, then credited $20. We called to find out what it was for and guess what……the discount wasn’t directly applied, it was rather spread out as a monthly credit for 3 years. If we walk from Verizon or need to get a new phone, we are responsible for making up the difference of credits still outstanding. Remember the whole not being on contract thing that I said we wanted at the first? Well being on the hook for 3 years sure sounds like a contract. But no, according to the store it isn’t a contract. The last wonderful part about this story is the lifetime guaranteed screen protector we purchased with the phone. They promised that it would be the best screen protector we had ever had and had a great record of not breaking. If, in the rare case that it breaks all we would need to do is bring it back to the store and they would replace it for free. Guess what? It broke.
