9-5-13 -large ballroom for a big seminar. easily accessed, lunch was very nice, many table set up, so very little wait. People were great, they directed us to the right place, so we did not have to search very much.
And then, there was the exit from the building and parking ramp. At the end of the hall, with hundreds of people leaving at the same time, sat one whole elevator - ONE! Many people were elderly, many disabled, and the line to ride the small elevator was way too long. In the ramp area, was 2 elevators which were full all the time.
The ramp is for a "CONVENTION CENTER!!" It was a pathetic system, once inside and parked, you were trapped! When we left, we sat for over an hour before we reached the booth. At that point, a very large rude man, with a dirty face was taking our money, and feeding into a machine that either did not work or, the rude man did not now what he was doing. There were other attendants, just walking around, but they didn't go to work collecting money to make the traffic get out sooner. I had an appointment that I had plenty of time to get to , and I missed it because I had to sit in your parking ramp for so long, and then had to pay a large amount to the large, rude man with the dirty face. who was probably was the reason that the machine would not work. When nothing works, you should go to plan B, and put attendants to work collecting money, or better yet, if things don't work, you should have opened the gates and just let us go! Our time was very important, and the day was ruined due to your poor design and lazy attendants.
Poor job guys, very...
Read moreWent to the circus this last summer. They only had some regular chairs for handicapped people. They could not find any more chairs and could not ask the young kids sitting in them to let the handicapped sit there. I asked a woman if you could call her that if a couple of seats by her were empty to be nice as they were empty she said yes so I climbed the steps to have her put her arm across and say no they are taken. So already hurting from having to stand in line to get in and walking so far to get there. I am standing there crying because I was hurting just to have employees do nothing to that woman who was a mean ignorant monster. So knowing my daughter really wanting to stay I climbed up nearly to the top crying. Being in to much pain and having to use the bathroom we decided to leave and being so far up you almost need binoculars to see down there anyway. But could not get any money back tried talking to a person but got no where I wrote a letter to them and got no response back from any one which is not very professional either. But yes they took my money and could not provide a place to sit. So they need to tell people that they are NOT handicapped accessible. So if you go here and are disabled do not expect to be able to have a decent place to sit and be aware that there will be cruel people there and staff do nothing about it. And if they are going to sell sword and stick type things then they need to make sure that kids and people are not sticking them out in the isles tripping people falling down all those steps could kill a person. I will never...
Read moreWe visited the US Cellular Center for a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert and was as impressed as we always are. It's such an easy place to get in and out of plus parking was easy to find. There was apparently a wedding reception taking place at the same time in the building with children that we in the wedding party and they ran up and down the escalators nearest our entrance. I was surprised that no one in the wedding party was stopping them but at the same time that no one associated with the facility was either.
The only issue specific to the location that was concerning was standing near a concession stand nearest a Customer Service kiosk upstairs. We listened to a supervisor belittle the bar staff about not writing something down and how none of them were doing anything but standing around while pointing out that they weren't busy at the moment. There were 4 staff members waiting for customers and the doors had literally JUST opened so there really wasn't anything for them to do.
He could have handled it better and taken them in the back to discuss the issues instead of so openly and not embarrassed them. He literally made eye contact with me so he knew people were in ear shot, I felt bad for them it was unprofessional.
With exception to that the arena was clean, well kept and the staff were wonderful. It's a great place...
