The shop is amazing. VERY comfortable. All the staff are not only friendly and welcoming, but also skilled barbers. Would highly recommend.
My only complaint though is with the website. It may be because I am in IT, but they REALLY need someone to help them out with the online booking workflow. At least on mobile. I have not tried desktop, but on mobile, it is a very convoluted process.
For instance, you can go through a whole confusing process to book a service with a barber on a specific day, at a specific time...only to realize at the end that you need to register/login. So ...you have to do that and start all over.
Let's say you have an account though and you know that you have to log in to book and appointment...Ykou can't log in until you click "Book Appointment"! There should be an option to log in right on the home page.
Next, you have to select who you are booking for (e.g., yourself, you and 1 guest, all the way to you and 5 guests).
Then, rather than selecting your barber and seeing their schedule, you have to select a service (e.g., haircut, hair treatment, beard trim, etc.). More often than not, customers know who they, what they want, and when they want it but you have to choose a service and then by default, you are shown every opening for every barber on every day.
If you want to filter for a specific date...you can't. You can only do today, tomorrow, this weekend, next weekend, this week, next week. To see just the barber you want, you now have to go BACK and select a specific barber.
So...let's say you have finally selected your barber, selected your service, chosen a date/time, and you are ready to book...
You can't because in order to book an appointment, you have to register/log in. So you have to start all over.
Again, though...website aside ...The shop itself and all the staff...
Read moreHonestly super disappointed, but just my experience with this place I normally dont go out of my way to review, but this was an awful experience overall.
I decided to check this place out due to the overwhelming positive reviews.
Appt: Had an appt with kwi at 430. Arrived few mins before just to make sure I can get going. 15 mins pass by, no news from any of the staff. Few more mins later, one of the person upfront lets know it should be soon. Its 5, the person asks if I want to change my barber. No explanation, nothing. I was on a time crunch, so I said "at this point, sure, anyone". Finally get seated around 510
Haircut itself: The person asked what I wanted, I told them I just wanted a small clean up since its getting a bit messy, but I want to continue to grow my hair out. They give me how "long" they r going to leave my hair to be, and it looked like a decent length so I said sure. My hair starts to get pretty much shaved on the sides, but I assumed thats whats required and it will look balanced in the end. However, soon enough I notice my hair just being cut shorter and shorter. End result? God awful. Its not long nor the promised length from the beginning. Its short and it doesnt even look good. I was so done at this point, and the person pushes me from the back to "blow dry" my back. Couldve just asked me to lean forward, but it was an actual push, like shoving down.
No "how was your haircut" or "sorry about the wait", anything like that at the end. They just asked me to pay and that was it. My 20 dollars cheap barbershop in nyc cuts better than this and has better service. Come here if you want this awful hairline, as...
Read moreI recently made an appointment for the first time since my regular barber moved out of town. Upon arriving at the new barber shop, I had to wait for 15 minutes before they informed me that Hassan was ready to cut my hair. During the haircut, I noticed that he was distracted, as he was on FaceTime with his friends and not paying proper attention to how he was cutting my hair. As a result, he ended up cutting my hair three times because I repeatedly asked for it to be shorter, but he still left it longer than I wanted.
After finishing with my hair, he proceeded to trim my beard, but during this process, he accidentally dropped a hot wet towel on my face. Given that it was a scorching 94 degrees outside, the towel almost burned my skin. Once the haircut and beard trim were finally done, he simply directed me to the payment counter without making an effort to fix the parts of my hair that were clearly uneven and longer than they should be. Additionally, he made an abrupt and unrequested change to my hairline and cut my beard much shorter than I desired.
In the past, I used to pay less to my regular barber, who consistently did an excellent job with my haircuts. Unfortunately, due to the uneven and unsatisfactory outcome of this experience, I had to visit another barber to correct the issues.
If you value your hair style and want a satisfactory experience, I would not recommend this particular...
