IHOP — Restaurant in Virginia

Came here the weekend after valentine's. In terms of atomsphere- it's a standard ihop/diner setting. No good places to charge a phone because the outlets don't work. Mostly Spanish speaking customers and staff.

Service for the most part was awful. First got assigned a female waitress. She was INCREDIBLY PUSHY. Got to the table and didn't even open the menus, yet she was asking for our drinks. Told her to give us a minute, and she just stares at us and asks us for our drinks again 30 seconds later. We couldn't focus on what we wanted because of how creepy and pushing she was being. Asking every 30 seconds and visibly getting angrier and angrier when we told her we weren't ready. She gets mad, stomps away, and gets us a new waitress - another woman. She does the exact same thing, and she has an even shorter temper and is just as rude. Then she stomps away and we are given another waiter, who we had for the rest of our meal. Think his name was Mark or Max. Max is super friendly, easy going, and kind. He gives us our time and we eventually order. Our order does take a while and when it gets there, some of our tenders are missing, and we had to wait even longer for them. That isn't Mark's fault, though, and he kept us up to date throughout all of this. The women who were our previous waitresses are flashing dirty angry looks and are often on their phones. At the end, we left Mark a good tip and Thank him, but wow, those women are awful and some of the worst waitresses I've ever met in the world throughout my travels. I know they're in my pictures that I've uploaded here.

The food was typical ihop. I was charged for 2 hot Chocolates, which I was upset about, but didn't want to make a fuss. The pancakes however were HALF the size of the usual ihop pancake. We were bewildered by the tiny portion. I'll say this though- best hot chocolate I've ever had at an ihop.

Apparently they have special deals for this location. Tuesdays are family nights where kids eat free with activities from 2-10. Senior appreciation where seniors get 50% off (55+) on Wednesdays from noon to 10. BOGO milkshakes at all times.

Not the best ihop I've been to. Plenty of parking though. Clean...

PROS. Food, (depends on what you get ofcourse, but for the majority of its menu items are good)

CONS, it always starts at the top. It is NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR MANAGEMENT TO SPEAK ANOTHER LANGUAGE AS CUSTOMERS ARE EITHER ENTERING, PAYING OR EXITING THE RESTAURANT. (IN THIS CASE, KOREAN) IT'S RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!!! MAKES YOU FEEL AS IF THEY ARE SPEAKING NEGATIVELY ABOUT YOU

Now I can get to the actual service with examples. We were seated, very nice host btw, we NOTICED creamer and a coffee pot. (not ours since it is not a standard item when you come in).

We met our waiter and a few minites later noticed the manager (older asian lady dressed in all black) walking around offering to top off the water glasses.....the only problem was...we were never offered water.

Got our food very fast, but the waiter never checked on us once if we were ok or offered any sauces. He then dropped the check on the table and left...never offered to refill my son's soda, of if we needed anythyng else. Perhaps we wanted more food!

I did notice him drinking water and being on the phone from the corner of my eye...and no it wasn't a teenager or young adult.. He was older, perhapss in his early 50's.

Advice. If you want to eat something that resembles brunch and this place is close to you and don't feel like driving in this crazy rain in our centreville community then this is the place to go.

If.however, you mind and are bothered by what yu read.STAY AWAY!

Just remeber...they are not doing you a favor, and you don't owe them anything...likewise, we are free to spend money...

IHOP BEWARE your not staying on top of the ghost kitchens adding there names to your address.... Your inconveniencing a lot of people. People are driving to your IHOP expecting to find another restaurant and it's not there. Your staff some don't even understand it. So what's the deal? Google maps tells people there's a restaurant there and people drive there and it's not there people can't order and eat the food at this location. Other IHOPs don't allow this and stay on top of it why is your location managed differently? Are you allowing all these people to be inconvenience looking for a restaurant that doesn't exist at your location?

DONT DRIVE HERE DOESN'T EXIST.

GOOGLE SHOULD REMOVE THIS.

ITS Not here....IHOP say they don't exist here. It's a Ghost kitchen....you can't order here you can't get the food here....this isn't right Google the company should be ashamed of advertising a location that doesn't exist and have people drive here inconveniencing a lot of people

Waitress was awesome we tipped her well. Wow she walked past our table and refilled our drinks before we knew it... Very polite and friendly. Tip her well everyone keep her working here!!!

Senior night discountson Wednesdays is awesome also.... The place is severely understaffed and it's bothersome at times other times it seems fine... The good service makes up for...
