There used to be three gamestop locations in the area. It was a great experience going into any one of them. Now that we are down to only one location the dynamics have changed completely. Gamestop in general is trying to branch out of just selling games and i understand that the employees are increasingly over stretched and overworked as a result. This is no excuse for the employees to be rude and have an attitude with customers. I've noticed the employees of this location, and the manager, Mitch, specifically, act like the customers owe them a favor for being there. They know they sre the only game(stop) in town so they can afford to be rude and hostile. I've noticed this downward trend months ago once the mall location closed. The incident that caused me to write this review happened 10 days ago. A particular game went on sale while i was out of town. I used the store app to put the game on hold but that only holds it for 24 hrs. I called and spoke with Mitch on Monday and he assured me that he will hold it till thursday. I am a frequent buyer and good customer and am a member of all their programs such as pro gamer and hsd elite status (elite program got canceled recently). I ended up coming in Wednesday and asked Mitch for the game. He said sorry we sold it. He suggested he order me one online for the same price. sure, no problem. When it came time to pay he wanted $10 more. He said it was for shipping. well, that's not the same price. It wasn't worth arguing with him because he inmediately took an attitude. I walked out and ordered the game from eBay (new) for much cheaper than the one i was going to buy from gamestop. that was the last time i go into Gamestop and you should reconsider going...
Read moreThis company is a joke with false advertisement and illegal transactions!! On 12-2-21 I ordered 2 iPhone 12 mini’s off of there website. They offer freshly refurbished phones with a 27 point inspection in original working order! So I receive the phone in the mail on December 16 (I was happy with the shipping time didn’t need till Christmas any way). Christmas morning my kids wake up and one of there presents is this freshly refurbished iPhone 12 and they super excited! I try to activate said phone only to find out that these phones still have a previous balance due on them and not only can they not be activated or used but Verizon also puts a hold on my account for fraudulent activity!!! So now Christmas is ruined, my kids are upset, and to top it off I had to fight with Verizon for 2 hours to get my account turned back on all because GameStop sold a phone with a previous balance with out checking which is illegal! Now I have to take more time To package up these illegal phones and send them back to only get a partial refund back! GameStop should never be used and should be shut down! GameStop owners should be ashamed of the people they have running...
Read moreStaff was friendly, but incompetent. I went in with the intentions of trading in my PS4 and games for a Nintendo Switch. I was told I needed the included HDMI cable and Micro-USB(granted, that is no fault of the employees), so I drove home, picked them up, and drove back, only to have them plug my PS4 in and display an error message. After rebooting the PS4 and getting the same error, the two staff members said there was nothing they could do and I'd have to fix it on my own. I went home, and after an internet search and some troubleshooting of my own (that went into greater depth than just restarting the console), I discovered the solution to my problem: hold the power button down for 7 seconds to allow it to boot in safe mode and reinitialize it from there. I'm baffled that none of the staff had any familiarization so as to fix that problem on the spot. Unfortunately for the business, I won't be returning there to sell any of my items, because another business in town (that starts with "DISC") will give me more money in cash than Gamestop offered me in...
