Truly excited to finally go to the movies for the first time in a while with my entire family. We had the entire day planned. We waited years for Black Panther II to arrive only to experience a less than enjoyable experience. It started when some members of my family were told to go to theatre 9 instead of 3. The movie was playing in multiple theaters 15 mins apart. While at concessions, asked if there were specials or any special items being sold for the movie and was told all items were listed on the screen. I ordered $60 worth from the snack bar only to see the Black Panther Souvenir bucket. So... I spent an additional $14.50. While I waited for my items, the concession stand worker began to talk with another co-worker about how there is supposed to be thousands of people coming to see the movie over the weekend and there is only two of them working as of now. Then my popcorn was knocked over the counter and I had to wait for it to be replaced and make more than one trip to the concession to grab all items. This caused me to miss the first part of the movie. I did my best to let it go and decided I would just see the movie again when it comes to DVD. At the end of the movie, we decided to watch for any other special added scenes (as Marvel Does) about what we can expect next from marvel or Black Panther. I then noticed we were being rushed out of the theater. We were attempting to clean up a mess our baby made and had two employees standing right next to me to where I had to ask the employees to please give me space. On the other side of us another employee grabbed our son's popcorn and drink and tossed it into the trash while we were occupied cleaning up a mess. We were rushed out of the theater and had our items thrown away. No one asked if we would be alright with them cleaning around us, being so close to us or throwing our items away. I decided to speak to a manager on my way out of the theater. I was told that he was sorry that I had a bad experience and would like to offer us movie passes to return and have a better experience. I was sent to the front desk for a resolution. We went to the front desk and explained the events of our time spent at Harkins and was told the same I am sorry for your experience and given one movie pass to compensate our money and time spent at Harkins. My items were not replaced, 5 tickets purchased and $80 towards concessions (including bar) we spent to be told sorry here is a movie ticket. Oh yeah.... You can't use it to see Black Panther though.
I have decided to continue to pay annually for AMC where I would have been able to order from my app and had it brought to me, been able to actually earn a few $5 rewards during one visit verses to spend $200 to get a $5 reward. Smh... Not a good experience. Only went to Harkins because we voted to see the movie there. Now not an option. Highly disappointed. I understand Harkins is only a good theater when you do not go to see a new movie the day before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo disappointed in the service they provide as I came here to see the movie The Popeās Exorcist, and the building - not the theater we were in - but the entire building lost power. I could have sworn either or both associates who came to inform us as to what happened, passes would be handed out to make up for the inconvenience and wait. Well, none were handed out. And inquiring here today about what happened, the manager is clueless as to what occurred. Not entirely unhappy, but very disappointed in their handling of this matter. It will be something to consider in choosing where to see movies in the future.
Regarding the Margherita flatbread: if David Portnoy gave a review, he might score it a 1.2 out of 0 to 10 scale. āOne bite, everyone knows the rules.ā A lot of fwop; not a lot of sauce or flavor; and very little cheese. Not worth the $8.75 thatās charged. Maybe the pepperoni is better? ā Iāll never know as theyāre always out of them.
P.S. $2 refills with your souvenir cup isnāt a value. I can go to any QT for any size refill that will cost only $1.08. Think about how you treat your customers⦠try to see things from their perspective.
Update: Iāve emailed and exchanged phone calls. You have no idea how disappointing this experience has been. The best you can do is a āFree Popcornā?! Had you passed those coupons after the movie this review could have been avoided. But to go through the inquiry the following evening, having no answer, and then haggling through an email and phone calls is just too much. Ask yourselves āHow would I like to be treated?ā āIs this the proper customer service, if shown to me, acceptable?ā I know this from my dealings with SRP. Iāve lost power for several hours as a result of an auto accident that knocked out power in my area. One call and they gave my account a credit or discount on my next billing. Iām somewhat certain theyāve applied a similar credit to your business. In some instances, you have insurance too if your business suffers a loss due to power outages or failures. Well, enough. Iāve unsubscribed from your future offers and news. There are other theaters ā ie AMC. Iāll have to try them before ever returning to Harkins. You folks have crossed that fine line from sad to pathetic. LOL šāFree Popcorn.ā Whatās that cost about⦠$.25 if that much? (Bag, kernels, salt & butter) Okay, $.50 as the price of butter has gone up with eggs and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy boyfriend and I had a VERY frustrating movie experience tonight. We watched Superman at 9:15PM in the back row. A couple and their kid came in and sat right in front of us. When the movie started, the kid was playing Roblox on their phone which was insanely distracting and frustrating. When one of the managers came in to do the checks they do, the parents took the kids phone and gave it right back after the manager left. They very clearly knew they werenāt supposed to have their phones out. All throughout the movie this family was talking, on their phones, constantly moving, climbing on each other, laying on top of each other, vaping, and their phones even rang a couple times. Later in the movie the kid starts playing with a plastic lid making tons of noise. Iām not a confrontational person and paid almost $40 to go see this movie so we didnāt get up to report it but I am insanely upset as our whole experience was ruined due to them being loud and obnoxious. The theater itself did nothing wrong, service was great as always but I feel like i totally wasted my money on a movie I barely got to watch because of how frustrated I was over them talking, their bright phones, and other noises. I have never had this bad of an experience in a theater due to rude and selfish people. I wish Harkins would do more consistent checks and pay closer attention to ensure people are following the rules and not ruining...
