The folks at this store were kind to speak with and knowledgeable, and I hope that the jewelry they sell is well-made and beautiful. I brought my engagement ring (purchased elsewhere) to be repaired last August, and before leaving it, asked questions to ensure their level of comfort working with the ring (a delicate design with a center Moissanite and accent diamonds). I’d been wearing it for 10 years and one prong had broken; the others were worn thin. They were going to repair the prong and re-tip the others. They assured me that they had the expertise to do this. I asked whether the engagement ring would still “match” my wedding band when they were done, and they assured me it would. When I picked up the ring, I was surprised to find they had polished it significantly and it no longer matched the wedding band. They told me I should have anticipated this, and asked if I wanted to have my wedding band polished to match. Once I left, I realized (within 10 minutes) that two of the tiny accent diamonds from the engagement ring were missing. I returned immediately to let them know. They looked at the intake photo (which documented that the diamonds had been there), and took the ring back with apologies and a promise to fix it. The time estimate was several days too short, and they did not call with updates. I called them to inquire about its status a few times, increasingly nervous that I had made a mistake. When I picked it up, they had replaced the two accent diamonds, but one of them wasn’t entirely surrounded by metal and was off-center in the very thin band. I took the ring and left. The Moissanite (center stone) sat higher/differently than before, and caught on things all the time. I stopped wearing it. I took the ring to another local jeweler and asked them to inspect it to ensure the prongs were ok, and that jeweler showed me that 3/4 of the prongs were incorrectly bent and not touching the stone at all, that the stone had a tiny fracture and discoloration (Olmaz never mentioned this in their intake), and pointed out the problems with one of the replaced accent diamonds. Their suggestion? Completely rebuild the top of the ring. I looked under the microscope and saw the gaps between the prongs and my center stone, and was already aware of (but didn’t point out) the accent stone. They were dismayed to learn I had just paid someone to fix it; and I was heartbroken thinking that I had inadvertently destroyed my beautiful engagement ring.
When I pointed out the missing accent diamonds, Olmaz replaced these and worked hard to make it right. Unfortunately, I don’t believe that they were able to do the initial repair with the proper level of craftsmanship, and I’ve had to have another local jeweler repair the ring again because it wasn’t properly repaired by Olmaz. I will never ask Olmaz to repair anything, and will instead seek out other local jewelers...

I approached them in December about creating an engagement ring using some diamonds from a family ring. Elie sat down with me for 45 minutes to discuss options and what I wanted. I weighed options for a week and pestered Elie with questions the whole time. He always answered my questions and he was always courteous and excited about the process!
When I finally settled on a plan for the ring, Elie asked me when I was planning to propose. I had a lot of moving pieces in my proposal plan and the date I wanted was only three weeks away. Christmas and New Year fell in that period so the proposal was, for all practical purposes, right around the corner. Elie said he would do his best to have the ring finished in my time frame and he delivered. In fact, the ring was ready for pickup at Olmaz ahead of schedule.
Newly engaged, my fiancée and I returned to Olmaz soon after to have the engagement ring resized, a complimentary service. We took a couple of other older rings that needed resizing as well as cleaning and polishing when we went. Olmaz took care of all three rings in a very timely manner and now they all look fantastic and fit perfectly!
Olmaz Jewelers are open about being a family owned and operated business which was evident in their commitment and patience in assisting me. They presented options that fit my vision and my budget and were happy to help.
As a customer, I couldn't ask for a better experience with a jeweler. My fiancée and I will not hesitate to patronize Olmaz to create our wedding bands and for help with any other jewelry needs...
Read moreElie and Jack provided an exceptional, no-pressure jewelry shopping experience. As a former small business owner myself, often times I feel like people lose sight of the value of developing relationships with their clientele. Someone always wants it cheaper or done faster, but that doesn't always come with good quality or customer service. The quality and customer service at Olmaz is impeccable. Elie and Jack value the personal connections they make with their customers to help you find that perfect piece of jewelry you are looking for. Every time we stopped by, whether shopping for wedding bands, re-sizing rings, replacing watch batteries, cleaning jewelry, or the for the surprise gift my husband purchased for me on our wedding day, they were always quick to pick up where our conversations left off the last time we were in. It's always nice when you go somewhere and they know your name! It's small things like this-- this attention to detail that keeps us coming back. They make you feel more like a friend than a business transaction. I am so glad we shopped small. We have found our "jewelry home" for many years to come.
Adding to my review on 7/19/23. Olmaz hit it out of the park again with impeccable service. I hadn't been by in quite a while, and as always, remembered my name. This time they worked with me to design a custom piece to remember my sweet (almost 14 1/2 year old) dog who we had to help cross the rainbow bridge earlier this summer. Needless to say I was heartbroken, but now I have this simple, elegant charm to wear with his paw print...
