October 17th 2015. This particular day i was shopping for some marked down meat because i just spent dang near my whole check on bills. I had a few bux left so i was trying to spend wisely. So i go to food lion. So i go in the store and went shopping in the meat section. I wanted to ask my wife about something so i realized i left my phone in the car so i left my basket in the meat well and went to get my phone from the car. So i come and selected a few items amd move over to the sandwich meat and the general manager "jason kiser" which i found out his name later, is standing there with the butcher and asks if i need any help finding anything. So i say no thanx as polite as i could a went about my business. So i pick up a few more things. By this time i get a push basket because the meats i picked were heavy and picked up a few more things before checking out. So im checking out and noticed chapel hill police standing by the exit entrance door. So im checking out with the cashier as i spend near 55 dollars. So i put my credit card back in my wallet and proceed to walk out. The police ask me to have a word with me so i said sure. He tells me the manager thinks i stole something as 2 more officers approached me. So i say "no i didnt" as i just spent over 50 bux and they watched me checkout! So the police comes back out to tell me what they think happened and i stopped him and he let me explain to them exactly what happened. So he says the manager wants to bann me from the store forever. So the police said he had to tell me and as i was looking him right in face he mumbled something to the nature of never coming back to the store again as he couldnt even look me in the eye because he knew he had falsley accused me. And the police had no problem letting me go about my business. So as i was leaving all the police and store manager were all huddled around the police car probably checking my name for warrants which ive never had a warrant. So they probably found out that im a working man 40hrs a week to support my family never been convicted of or even charged for that matter with a felony or misdemeanor.    Read moreIâve only been at the store two times as of today, both times in customer service what usually is chaotic. But thatâs how it is at all the stores. ButâŠ. This is a compliment for the front manager, Matt Presley. If there was a 10+ star rating, he deserves it. I enter the store and talk to two people before him. One shrugged and told me where to go, and the other one at customer service was busy figuring out the computer, who wasnât able to recognize that I was thereâŠ. The store wasnât even crowded at the time. But⊠And then along came Matt Presley. I didnât know he was a manager at first, butâŠ. He put me first. And I was there for a awhile because of Western Union and also buying another product . He didnât interrupt me for anything with another person. He totally treated me as one on one. Matt was very attentive to my needs. Explain how the WesternUnion worked and wasnât rushed in anyway, even though the phone rang, and people were behind me. he put them on hold and continue to put me first until the very end. An employee, like this should be recognized for being a one on one person. And I will continue to visit this Food Lion when Iâm in Chapel Hill. Please đ acknowledge this employee and give him the respect thatâs required to keep him at the store. If itâs possible, give him a raise or incentives to stay. I do not want to lose this...
   Read moreYesterday had to be one of the most horrible experiences I've had at any food lion store. I shop there regularly . This month alone I've spent $300. I had to start instacart because income slowed down. Yesterday I had an order cancel. This sales associate Shana told me I could not return items. She was rude and keep telling lies about the policy. When I had asked for the managers name she told me Adam Spell. That was not the manager on duty. The managers name was Matt Burch. Matt was very helpful!! I apreciate his help. Shana on the other hand keep lieing telling me she talk to the manager he was on the phone with instacart when he wasn't. Giving out wrong information and had an attitude. If you have a receipt you should be able to return anything unless stated the other wise. After Matt called his CSM the items were returned to the original form of payment.
