Well I noticed a new small barbershop by the name of Cut-N-Edge located in rams plaza around the corner from the abc store I frequent this shopping center almost every other day anyways I decided to stop by for a cut I usually drive to Durham to get my hair cut but I decided to try this place out since it’s in my neighborhood so I parked right in front of the shop and walked in ,right away I noticed it was a fairly decent shop two barber chairs and there was 2 individuals working one of them was the owner as he stated by the name of Rahsaan the other individual was busy cutting another fellas hair so I told the man I was in desperate need of a cut since it had been at least a month since my last cut so I sat down on his barbers chair the owner ask me what kind of cut I was looking for I told him a medium fade with a #2 on top and the sides with no clip edge up in the front so he proceeded to cut my hair now I don’t knw if it was because I happen to be of Hispanic decent or the fact that I was in a primary black barbershop but the owner rashsaan either didn’t care or don’t really know how to cut hair I can go as far as saying he probly thought I was some stupid Mexican and wouldn’t notice the crummy job he did on my cut and probly didn’t care too much for my business because the way he cut my hair reflected on it I don’t know where this man learned to cut or got his barbers license but he needs to go back to barber school ! He left the top of my head uneven where he ran the num 2 clip he left a spot in the back of my head with long hairs the fade was pretty much a bow cut he didn’t even have the decency to clean my face off from the hair he cut .. this is by far the worse cut I have ever gotten here in North Carolina I am Hispanic and well maybe I made a mistake by walking into this barber shop because this man didn’t care one bit had he done a good job he would have had my business and money at least twice per month ! And I would have even took my kids there, anyways he flashed his mirror real quick in front me and ask if the cut was all right I didn’t even get the chance to see what he had done at this point I just took it as lesson learned that’s what I get for trying a new place out I payed the man and walked out as I sat in my car I began to look at my mirror and noticing his work what a terrible cut I just drove away soon as I got home I cut my hair bald even with no clip I thought maybe this man would want his business to thrive by treating everyone the same and giving everyone the equal type of quality work but I was mistaken maybe he just don’t knw how to cut Hispanics hair lol anyways it’s all good I will not be returning...
Read moreI'm at this shopping center often. The businesses I visit there are great, but the caretakers of the center itself clearly don't care all that much. With several restaurants, multiple fitness centers, a swim school, an urgent care, an emergency vet, a grocery store, and a large CVS all crammed into a small corner shopping center -- it is VERY difficult to find parking at most times of day. The managers clearly didn't care much about the usability/accessibility of the space. Additionally, several of the outdoor lights are flickering or completely out, and have been for months.
Long story short: unless there's a business here that you absolutely must visit, it's...
Read moreThe traffic flow was recently redone to accommodate the new CVS in an outbuilding in the parking lot. The whole shopping center is now a complete clusterf$ck. You used to be able to enter the lot easily from Ephesus Church Road, but no longer unless you do a U-turn - because that's safer?! The signs in the parking lot conflict one another - "right turn" painted in the lane on the pavement, but there's a "no right turn" sign on a pole right next to it. Even the signs can't figure it out. I used to love this little shopping center because it was so easy and convenient. Well they sure fixed that, didn't they? Now I go to the nearby Walgreens and Kroger to avoid...
