Charleston Stage Co. has been a wonderful part of my family's life for a decade and we are always so excited to see what Charleston Stage Co. will come up with next! The Sound of Music (most recent show) was phenomenal! My children are now young adults and we are still excited for Fall to roll around for show season! The principle cast has blown our minds over and over and the sets! The sets have been amazing! We are convinced as a family that Charleston Stage Co. can pull off any show with Broadway standards. I recently took a friend who has never been to a CHS Stage play, and she LOVED it... (Fiddler on the Roof, how could you not?!!). We were seated next to a young woman who, kid you not, inhaled a very deep breath to absolutely scream "WOOOOO HOOOO" when the actors took their curtain call. I loved the enthusiasm. Saw Glass Menagerie recently and LOVED it. Stage, lighting, actors fantastic. Not to mention this gem of a theater. So few seats, so intimate, so old and charming. Read moreI love how enchanting this place looks but unfortunately I had a terrible experience with speaking to Sara berkiwitz her personality and persona just left a bad taste in my mouth, if you come to this place I would not recommend speaking with her she is unhelpful and condescending, her demeanor is entitled and to say the least rude. I am not hard to get along with and tried multiple times to deescalate the situation and I'm not sure if she is always like that or if she was having a bad day but unfortunately I will not return due to her...
