My boyfriend and I went on the 9am Nature tour on Saturday 7/29. We were kindly greeted by Emily and she was very friendly to the entire crew waiting to board. She notably moved a woman’s purse so that it wouldn’t blow into the water while she went to the bathroom which showed how much she cared.
Both Emily and Mike were amazing the entire tour. This was our first time to Charleston and after the trip has now ended, this tour comes up in stories and memories and is told to all as the best thing we did in Charleston and the best part to both of us. We greatly enjoyed the cruise itself, as well as all of the stories and information shared by Emily and Mike. They were both informative, friendly and had great humor. We found it so amazing that we docked the boat on Morris Island for a little less than an hour. It was the perfect amount of time to explore and felt like a mini excursion. We were able to find some cool shells and some shark teeth. We also saw so many dolphins so close to the shore of the island.
I would recommend Sandlapper Water Tours to anyone visiting Charleston and looking for...
Read moreI found this like I do most things nowadays, google. What set them apart were the many, many good reviews from both google and tripadvisor. While I’m skeptical of reviews nowadays, these all seemed genuine. And for good reason. We (my wife and I) booked the cruise and it didn’t disappoint. The MC, Victor was funny and very friendly and the captain, JP, was additionally friendly and knowledgeable giving us information about the area and the places we would briefly stop at prior to the sunset. I tried not to bother him as he was at the helm but for the questions I did ask he happily answered them.
Victor took fantastic pictures of us at the sunset and I’m happy to post them (he even takes a selfie so you don’t forget who he is! Lol).
I do highly recommend this sunset tour. They have drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and snacks for purchase once the boat gets going and a bathroom on the boat. There was a mention somewhere that light appetizers were included but they are not, just chips and drinks for purchase. For a two hour sunset tour, you can’t do better than Sandlapper and their...
Read moreOur private sunset cruise in Charleston was absolutely a fun experience! From the moment we stepped aboard, the Captain made us feel welcomed and at ease. The boat was comfortable, and perfectly sized for our small group, giving us plenty of space to relax and enjoy the ride.
The scenery was breathtaking — watching the sun dip behind the Ravenel Bridge and light up the historic Charleston skyline was magical. We were even lucky enough to see dolphins which made the evening feel even more special. The captain shared just the right amount of local history and fun facts, while also letting us simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere.
We loved being able to bring our own drinks and snacks, and a coolers was even made available for us. The whole experience felt personal, unrushed, and tailored just for us.
If you’re visiting Charleston (or even if you live here), a private sunset cruise is an absolute must. It was the highlight of our trip and created memories we’ll cherish forever. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a unique and unforgettable...
