This is a must do on the itinerary! It is a little pricey if you upgrade from the captains table to the private table (and add what you will) but IT IS WORTH IT!! I took my husband on this dinner cruise for his 30th birthday and he said it was one of the best parts of our trip. We upgraded to the captains table, then I added the I love you package (which included a private table, champagne, roses and dessert). The total for both of us was around $255 but it was totally worth it! If you don’t add the dessert, the menu starts with soup, salad, then main course. You also get tea or coffee with your meal. I think sodas are an extra $1 and they have a spirits, wine and dessert menu for separate purchase. Everything tasted amazing so you can’t go wrong with any option you choose. It is resort casual so I would say girls wear a sun dress and guys, jeans/shorts with a nice collard shirt and boat shoes would be fine. No need to get super fancy with heels or slacks. The only thing I was nervous about was the tipping. I saw a Couple of reviews that had people angry because they bring you the total amount you prepaid for the cruise and any additional purchase you made on board. I think people just misunderstood their check because it wasn’t a problem at all. Just think about what you would normally tip for a steak or seafood dinner and use common sense. There was no pressure from our waiter at all. We tipped him extra because he was so good.

First time my husband and I have ever done a dinner cruise. We got the private table for two and added on the drink package that included a bottle of wine and two customized glasses. For the price the drink package was worth it but for the overall price for the experience and the food it was a waste of money. We will not splurge for a table for two next time and hopefully the food will be better. The portion sizes in my opinion for the soup and salad are lacking as they are smaller than you would even get as a side salad or a cup of soup at any given restaurant. It was also pouring down raining and our window was leaking. We informed our waiter he said he was going to inform his manager but nothing became of it. We also saw another couple dealing with a leaky window and the only thing they gave them was towels to shove into the window seal. I know that weather is always a up in the air situation but for the amount of money we spent It was way severely lacking on expectations but our waiter was great. If you're expecting quick service and are hungry I suggest eating a snack before you board. Due to having two waiters for all the tables things started to back up as they did the best they could. If you're going to spend the money on this I would suggest getting a group table with family or friends or sharing a table with strangers.

It was my first time here, by mistake, lol. Tbh, I was going to a different location for a helicopter ride, and my GPS brought me here. When I got here, I was curious to see what was going on. I bought a ticket for the ferry cruise, and it was a little impressive 90 mins sail and hearing some history associated with this peninsula. Had the opportunity to sail underneath the Cooper bridge, and it was really amazing coming up close and personal to the structure. One more thing, why should visitors pay a $5 parking fee?. Everyone coming here is for the adventure Pinnacle or Spiitline cruises are offering and to charge a parking fee for visitors, and you have to provide a safe environment and experiencefor both visitors and their properties(cars). I feel that's exaggeration, exploitation, and taking advantage of people who want to be part of this experience. I will recommend you add the just add the parking fee to everyone's ticket at the time of purchase, because everyone that comes there is bringing business to you guys.

I contacted the group bookings team to secure spots for a dinner cruise for the evening of June 21st for my class reunion visiting the area. The communication from the agent was extremely poor. My initial reach out was in March with an urgency to secure seats due to the popularity of the weekend. The agent refused to answer her phone and never returned calls. I left a number of voicemails to no avail. She only communicated via email which was always piece mail and took longer than necessary. The date ended up selling out. I understand keeping a paper trail but many details could have been sorted over the phone due to the urgency of the situation and confirmed via email. We explored an alternative in which when I went to follow up she was quite rude and gave the impression that I was moreso bothering her and that it was a burden for to assist me. When the alternative option fell through I cancelled the reservation and ask that she confirm. She processed the refund and the system sent a confirmation. She never sent a follow up email to confirm that I got the funds nor the email nor responded to my email. Having organized a number events, the level of service from this company was far from what I expected and less than satisfactory…it really gave the impression of “if you want it….you want it…we don’t care if you get it or not”. Very non-chalant attitude and rude. Thankfully I was able to secure a private charter that went above and beyond to accommodate us. Highly recommend saving yourself the trouble and booking elsewhere where or just booking as many tickets via the automated service as you can so that you aren’t inconvenienced and mistreated by these...

Getting married in Charleston you can’t go wrong. The city is so beautiful and offers so much. My husband and I wanted something different, something unique for us and our guest. We chose to get married on the Spirit of Charleston and sail the harbor. The night was perfect, the boat looked amazing and our servers and bartenders were everything we needed! The picture perfect wedding venue! Our food was delishes and exactly what we wanted. They allowed all our vendors access to the boat prior to the event to get everything set up and help it go smoothly and on time. For the most part I don’t have any compants but I do believe there is room for improvement. We planned this wedding from Texas and needed much help from all our vendors to make sure everything was set, ready and ran smoothly. Contact with the event coordinator was slow and not always what I needed. I did have to get in touch with her in order to make sure things were in order instead of her reaching out to me. I had given her all my vendors information and the week of the wedding I had vendors asking me for her contact information. We had another lady on the boat for the night of the wedding directing everything who we had never met or had contact with prior to the night. Sadly she didn’t even know our names as we got ready to board the boat. All tho the night went smoothly for the most part I feel like these are things that need to be addressed and worked on to improve for the next bride and groom. I will say I was very happy with our night and it was everything we could of wanted, so thank you for the all your help and to the crew for making our night very...

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Canceled Last-Minute Without Notice

We booked a Spirit Cruise Lines tour in Charleston to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday with a party of 22 guests. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable evening turned into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal.

Just 15 minutes before departure, we were informed that the cruise was canceled due to a broken air conditioning system—an issue the company had reportedly known about well in advance. Despite having all our contact information, no one from Spirit Cruise Lines reached out beforehand to notify us of the cancellation, giving us zero time to adjust our plans in advance.

This wasn’t just a casual outing—we had guests of all ages gathered to honor a milestone birthday. We were forced to scramble for last-minute dinner reservations on a busy evening in Charleston, which was stressful and chaotic for such a large group. There was also a wedding reception party booked on the same tour, equally blindsided and left to make alternate plans on the spot.

The lack of communication and poor contingency planning was unacceptable for a company in the hospitality industry. Emergencies happen, but proactive customer service and transparency are the bare minimum when dealing with planned celebrations and large parties.

I strongly caution others considering Spirit Cruise Lines for any event or special occasion. Our experience was not only poorly handled but also incredibly disappointing for...
