Imagine what would happen if just before you designed the layout of a shopping center, you decided to drop a big tab of acid. And then just as it started to take effect, you started to draw out the design.
I've never done acid, and I've never designed a shopping center, but the Arboretum is what occurs to me if I'd done both of those things at the same time. This shopping center looks like four separate layouts that were built and conjoined. It's massive, it's confusing, it's hard to find places, and it's especially hard to find places. Yeah, I repeated myself. Remember, I'm doing acid here.

The center is at the south/west corner of Providence Road and Pineville-Matthews Road. There are plenty of entrances and exits, two of which have traffic lights to help with crossing...
Read moreAs a whole most all of the businesses there are wonderful. I am particularly fond of the UPS Store, the youngin's that work there are wonderful and very helpful. Same can be said for those young folk that work at the Taco Bell and Chick-fil-a, pleasant attitudes.
The 24 hour Harris Teeter great store, great people working there! Clean, but on the small side and prices high, but they are 24 hours!
The 24 hour Walmart leaves a little something to be desired, the folk that work there generally do not wish to be much of a help, the store is small and has little to offer, the produce is awful.
Warning: Chilli's served me boxed mac & chesse rather than the home baked mac & cheese they displayed on their menu. It's better than Mc Donalds in which I do NOT recommend EVER going to on the 3rd shift! NEVER! The manager there on that shift is trifling and it shows with those that work under her as well!
I will never be bothered with Planet 21 Hair Salon either. A one hour process leads to hours! Over booking not...
