Atrium Health Primary Care Charlotte Medical Clinic — Local services in Charlotte

Before you read this I would like to say when I see an actual doctor face-to-face they are excellent. Now to say I would rather become so ill I need to go to a hospital than enter this office or call their number again. Majority of those answering the phone treat you like you’re stupid and shouldn’t be calling in the first place. If you happen to get past them with a message for the nurse they take more than four hours usually and get back to you the next day. However when they get back to you it’s just to take a message for the doctor. Who knows if the doctor actually ever gets it because they don’t ever call you back. The only time I know that it got through is when the pharmacy contacts me that I have a prescription. I understand that doctors offices are busy… I am a nurse, I really get it. However I have been to this office three times in-less than that many weeks-for the same problem and no one seems to care. And I think when you feel bad someone should care. I was perfectly OK with hearing the doctors notes on my call from the secretary however the prescription did not get put through accurately and I got told again that I would have to wait four hours or over the weekend because the next day is not a business day. I can’t lay down or even sleep because of the pain and I don’t even want pain pills I just wanted the one medicine they didn’t put in that would make it better. I have never been so mistreated. I will not return here and I would not Recommend this place to anyone. That is saying a lot as this is the first review I have ever written about anyone. Take my advice do...

This month alone I’ve had to see various health care team members in the Atrium healthcare system.

I’ve had the opportunity to speak with triage nurses at my PCP’s office they were very caring and helpful, most times these wonderful women don’t get recognized for their roles in our health care so I wanted to take this opportunity to say “thank you” for caring about me, my health and wellness needs. Also thank you to those who answer the phones and present the health care issues to the triage nurses.

Dr. Lingo was able to fit me in for a last appointment on a Friday afternoon even though he is not my PCP. I appreciated the staff who stayed to check me in and to work with Dr. Lingo, they made me feel well cared for, as if it was regular morning appointment, the appointment did not feel rushed. Dr. Lingo made sure to go over the notes, tests and scans, he asked questions and listened to me before making recommendations for my continued care. A big thank you to Dr. Lingo who I’ve only seen twice in all the years I’ve been coming to this office.

It took every one of these wonderful human beings (staff members) to get me to a place where I’m feeling better. Although I’m not quite back to normal health I can say that thanks to each of them I’m on the road.

Not all doctors but the one lady that I saw at this location PA does not consider and work hard towards your quality of life needs . All Pa that I saw was look like they care about how many people to see and file the insurance and get paid. My situation I have insomnia due to my work . And have been on the same medication for at least 15-20 yrs with combination. So I know as a patient I know the risks. Yet if I can not sleep other practices will reference you to different doctor to ease my pain .insomnia will not cure. Until I retire . Since PA has not been looking at my quality of life . Give me any choice but say “no” to send prescription. Since the. I have not slept , only 2hours here and there. I think I got worse by going to see this PA at this location . PA s ego goes beyond patients life. Total talking time 10min and insurance was charged $300 over . I would not recommend to see this practice . As PA . Other day my son saw a MD and was really took time and gave options for his ease of pain and work the medication with in his life style. So to conclude . I think if they want you to see a PA it is not worth your time. MD doctor who we saw was great . Some people will say it is my problem and yes it is .. it is quality of life with my work...
