The Green, a charming pocket park in Uptown Charlotte, transforms into a vibrant art space during the annual Charlotte SHOUT! festival. From April 4–20, 2025, it hosts the “Easter Eggs on Parade” exhibition, featuring 13 oversized eggs designed by local artists. Each egg reflects a unique interpretation of the festival’s theme of conservation, blending artistry with environmental awareness. This whimsical display is a highlight of Charlotte SHOUT!, offering visitors a delightful experience amidst the city’s bustling center. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or simply exploring Uptown, the Easter Eggs on Parade at The Green provides a colorful and inspiring stop during the spring festivities.

I loved it here !!! I don't travel to Charlotte at all due to expressway anxiety. I'm 40 minutes North of the green but it was well worth it. It had a calm vibe to it. It's small enough to see different shops and displayed art , within 15 minutes. I took my time though with picture taking and going in stores. There's so much around here. I suggest walking around and going in all buildings with beautiful architecture. I didn't post those here cause they aren't part of The Green park but I highly recommend this little gem, smack dab in the middle of downtown Charlotte !!!! Loved ❤💗

If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy some literary humor, you might want to check out The Green, a charming park in uptown Charlotte, NC. The Green is not just a green space, but also a tribute to world literature, with bronze sculptures of books, quotes from famous authors, and witty signs pointing to places named after writers. You can also admire the art and culture of the nearby Mint Museum and the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, or catch a movie or a play at the park's outdoor stage. And if you're feeling thirsty, you can sip some water from one of the three giant fish fountains that spout water in sync with music. The Green is owned by Wells Fargo and was designed by Wagner Murray Architects . It's a popular spot for lunch breaks, weddings, and receptions. The only thing you won't find here is an ice rink, which was moved to the NASCAR Hall of Fame plaza in 2011. But don't let that stop you from visiting this unique and delightful park that celebrates the power of words and...
