Pros: This is a gorgeous facility and I love the new locationā I live a few blocks away and can easily shop, dine, and have a spa day in one area. Iām a BR fan and like that I can pull up to replenish products without having to order online. Christine has been knowledgeable while doing my facials and conversing with her helps knock back that anxious feeling I get when I'm there.
Heartbreak: I like the potential of having a relaxing time but the reality is it never works out for me. Every time I walk in here, all staff just stare at me. Then they eventually turn their head without a greeting or asking if I need help. Itās super frustrating to expect a 5-star experience and not receive it. Iāve been in here 6 times (3 for product and 3 for service) and each time I get the āwhy are you hereā stare from everyone. Iāve seen other clients get greeted before the door could even close behind them so I know itās possible. It doesnāt matter if I have on $2400 boots or $100 sneakersā it happens when Iām made up and well dressed and when Iām casual in a top-knot. Today I walked in to two unoccupied girls at the register and three unoccupied esthes near the product case and no one said anything. They each stared at me though, and then huddled up. I make my way to the product wall, past the estheticians, one of the register girls comes to the product wall and starts pushing product around, no one has welcomed me into this space or said Hello. Frustrated, I blurt out ācan someone help me?!ā a little louder than I intended and of course, all eyes on me again when someone breaks from the huddle to help with my product inquiry. Iām tired of coming here and not being able to relax. I hate the walk from the garage to Toskaās door, deep breathing, hoping Iām not made to feel like Iām not supposed to be there. I hate getting in the door and realizing that nothing has changed. Iām honestly not sure why I keep coming backā I stopped showing up in Dilworth to go back to ordering from Rescue Spa in New York, where I just moved from, for these same frustrations. I think the repeat visits stem from a part of me that will force someone to see me, force you to know Iām there, and that Iām the one with the powerā I can make you see me, but you canāt make me leave.
EDIT: Toska reached out to me and apologized that I was made to feel this way. I learned that she trains her teams to be welcoming, and she was really disappointed by how she was misrepresented. I didnāt post my review to elicit response so it was a pleasant surprise to speak with her about this. She was very sweet. I will be continuing my journey to perfect skin at Toska and hope to notice teamās improvement in hospitality and respect. FEW MONTHS LATER: Bumping to five stars because itās been made clear that Toska requires more from her team, and I have noticed better effort in hospitality overall. After reading the reviews on Toska European Spa, I decided to schedule an appointment and make the 10 hour drive from Kentucky to Charlotte.
Upon entering Toska European Spa, I was immediately greeted by staff in a friendly, welcoming way. The Spa had a relaxing atmosphere that provided a sense of serenity. At my first appointment, an expert aesthetician performed a full skin analysis of my face and created a customized, professional skin regimen tailored to meet my needs. After my facial, the aesthetician took time to educated me on the importance of skincare and developed a skin care routine for me to perform every morning and night that would continue to enhance the appearance of my skin.
My first facial was in November 2020. As we are entering into May 2021, 6 facials later, I cannot put into words the difference in the appearance of my skin as well as how my skin feels. Prior to coming to Toskaās, my skin suffered from extreme dryness and redness. I have tried every product imaginable to cure these issues and never succeeded. I have had countless facials that never cured my skins dryness and redness as well. However, 6 facials later, and a skin care routine that I perform every morning and every night with products from Toskaās, my skin looks and feels the best it ever has.
With my wedding quickly approaching in July, the staff at Toskaās has been overly committed to providing me with the best skincare treatments available to ensure that I have the clearest, most smoothest, and flawless skin on my special day. One thing I have learned is skin care generates the best results when done consistently.
Yes, the 10 hour drives one way, once a month, are more than worth it. I cannot count the number of compliments I have received on how flawless my face looks. Not to mention how I personally look and feel. I have a greater sense of self confidence in my appearance. I started this journey with the goal of achieving the most clearest and smoothest skin for my wedding but now these 10 hours drives once a moth have become a part of my self care routine.

Paid $180 for facial- No massage , just application of products. Very disappointed with the experience. Not product knowledgeable:My concerns were neck lines, eye wrinkles and good moisturizer to use along with Tetrition in winter. VG tensil serum, biofixine eye cream and Augustine bader rich cream were recommended. Have been using for past 6 months. No improvement seen till date. Also Augustine bader cream is supposed to be used by itself for TFC8 technology to work. Lack of knowledge of products. 3. 5 days Return policy sucks: Tried to return Augustine bader cream back on day 7 as I am working person and only I can stop by weekends . they will not give me store credit nor was told about 5 day policy at time of purchase. So think before u buy. Also learnt from 2 of my other friends who also goes to rescue spa, their experience has been similar. Overall the estiticians are trained but not experienced. Was excited and looking forward to establish routine with Toska spa. But disappointed!!
