I USED TO Love this place!
Update: 09.16.20
I was here recently to get my brows done. Typically, I have a great experience. However, when I went to pay for my services, they informed me that they do not accept Discover. I was like many businesses used to not accept American Express, but not Discover. I looked around, and the methods of payment is not posted ANYWHERE....not even on the door. Thankfully, I had other methods of payment to use. Due to this poor experience, I may not return and may not recommend.
Oh, and shall I mention--- gloves were not changed. Only hand sanitizer was used on the gloves by the lady that serviced me.
IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER 09.20.20
There was not an issue with the Discover card or "something else" as you mentioned. The credit limit on that card is extremely high with no balance each month. In fact, I was advised by Discover that I should use the card (as I rarely do) to continue to keep it active. The lady at your business IMMEDIATELY looked at the card, and said we do not accept Discover, and asked if I had another card; of course I had my debit card. She said we accept everything, but Discover. The card was NEVER inserted in/swiped at the machine Soooo Sir/, Ma'am please try again with that.
Perhaps you should educate your employees, because obviously they are unaware on how the business is operated.
As far as the gloves....Sir/Ma'am you must not have thoroughly read my review. The lady at your business NEVER changed gloves. She was checking people out, touching faces, touching objects/surfaces etc with the SAME GLOVES. Rather than CHANGING GLOVES as other businesses do after each customer, she used hand sanitizer on those nasty/same gloves. I typically, would have said something, but I did not as I thought you all may have been low on gloves/supplies. Sir/Ma'am....that is NOT sanitary and the CDC does NOT recommend doing that. Perhaps you may want to freshen up on the CDC's website and guidelines in this regard....but, I digress.
Lastly, my business will not be missed. Then again...maybe it will. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, businesses everywhere are continuing to struggle and trying to remain afloat. IF I decided to patronize your business in the future, I should video my experience. But, then again you all are not the only Brow/Waxing/Threading business that is located in Charlotte and surrounding areas, so I shall take my business...
Read moreWow! Is exactly right and NOT in a good way. The location had a systems "glitch" that made it appear that my debit card only paid for the services and not the additional tip. The employee handling the transaction insisted that it was the card and I needed to pay cash for the tip amount ($8.00). She said there was an ATM a few doors down in the same shopping center. I went to the enclosed and locked ATM to obtain the cash and another employee started pulling on the door to get in. She actually came down to the ATM to ensure that I was getting the cash and then walked with me back to WOW brows. The owner contacted me by phone today indicating that their payment system is at fault and I overpaid by $10 (Smallest amount ATM will dispurse). He indicated that the employee has "trust issues" based on prior experiences with other customers. NOBODY should feel disrespected and chased down over a nominal tip amount. It's not like they weren't paid for services received. This was for a TIP. I've never been treated so poorly and disrespected in a place of business. I've been a federal employee dealing with the public for almost 20 years and have experienced tense situations so I know that you don't have to resort to disrespectful behavior in ANY situation and that's how I felt..... DISRESPECTED. I would give them a negative 300 review if it were possible. I just don't want anyone else to have this experience just trying to get your eyebrows done! Be careful if you go to this establishment and use a card because their system is unreliable and they'll make it seem like you're being shifty but they're the ones practicing horrible...

Update to owner: email was returned. Something about email security.
I have been going to WOW brows for a few years to get my eyebrows threaded. Last Saturday, while getting my brows done, I asked if they did lashes. The reply was yes and I made an appointment to come back later that day. The cost including tip was $158. I was told that in about 3 - 4 weeks to come back for a fill and I got the price for that. Well today, just a week later, on one eye, the lashes are very thinned. On the right side have lost some as well. So I went back today and showed the issue (after waiting 45 mins for the person that did the job) and was asked 'if I washed?' Of course I washed my face but took special care around lashes. I was then told I would be charged ANOTHER $40 to fill in the left side?! More money for them to fall out again? This is not normal for lashes. Because I look crazy right now I asked for them to just be removed. Well that was cheaper -$35! The ''manager' was consulted on this (mind you only 4 of them in there but all of a sudden there is a management structure. And when I first came in with my complaint there was no manager that talked to me about the issue. Well my business did not matter because I left with no remedy but to invest more money into a substandard job. So you have been warned. I have wasted $158 and now I have to figure out how to get thaws lashes off. I will not step foot in there again not even for threading. I hope none of you have issues there because you will not get any...
