Monticello Wine Tour and Coach Co — Attraction in Charlottesville

We had a WONDERFUL experience working with Monticello Wine Tour. The entire experience was excellent but there are a few standout moments. First, their pricing is comparable to other tour companies in the area. So my decision to select Monticello Wine Tour was mainly based on their responsiveness and helpfulness in planning the day. After my website inquiry I immediately received a call from Hilary who answered all my questions and sent me a follow-up email with details. Then, once we booked, I was in touch with Anna, who was equally responsive and helpful in planning the day. Anna took the lead arranging the itinerary and calling the wineries to plan the day.

Second, the service day-of was AMAZING. Dave was our driver and we couldn’t have asked for a better person. He called ahead to let us know he was on the way and even arrived early. He was friendly and extremely helpful loading our bags into the SUV. Then, once at the wineries, he spoke with the winery staff to get the tastings started, he took pictures for us, he carried over our food and helped secure tables and chairs. And most importantly he kept us on schedule! We had such a great time at each winery that we could have stayed all day. But Dave would come over periodically and let us know we had a certain amount of time left before we needed to move on to the next place. This was helpful because we could plan enough time to finish our wine, buy a few bottles and take some extra pictures before heading off to the next stop. At one point, we had a tasting scheduled at Veritas and instead of rushing us at King Family he took the initiative to call Veritas and requested to push back our scheduled tasting so we could enjoy King Family a little longer. Dave was a great driver; he clearly knew his way around.

Those extra things really makes Monticello Wine Tour stand out and provided us with an enjoyable relaxing day. Couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to work with. Thank you Hilary,...

My sister and I were guided by Anna from Monticello Wine Tour & Coach Co. It was the best day of the summer! Before the day even began, she was very accommodating in planning our itinerary and setting up our pick-up time. She met us at our hotel with fresh, hot yummy donuts! We bonded over our love of Dave Matthews and his music and enjoyed listening to his tunes on our car ride. We started by tasting some Hard Rock Cider and went to amazing wineries including Blanheim. Anna definitely went above and beyond for us. At one point, I forgot my umbrella at our last winery and she went back to get it for me while we were enjoying our wine tasting. She is also an incredible photographer and took great pictures of my sister and I on our trip. We had the best day and she was so much fun! My sister and I want to go back to Charlottesville just to have Anna take us on another wine tour - it was such a special and fun day and Anna was a major reason why! I highly recommend this wine...

I highly recommend Monticello Wine Tour and Coach Co. I recently booked them for a winery tour for a group of 4 ladies for a bachelorette event and they went above and beyond throughout the whole process. I ended up changing both the time and the number of guests for our tour and they made every change without problems. In addition, Anna, our driver, was wonderful! She showed up a few minutes early and even brought us cupcakes! She was obviously very knowledgable about the area and helped us adjust our itinerary so we were able to visit a winery where none of us had been before. Also, at the first winery when we decided we wanted a cheese plate she let us stay and taste the wine while she went out first to scout the store and let us know what they had and then a second time to purchase a yummy cheese plate for us!
