Almanac Supply Co. — Attraction in Chattanooga

Well I happened in this lovely shop recently when I was looking to purchase delicious balsamic vinegars from the previous shop owner at this address and found instead the welcoming presence of minerals, candles, and other comforts. Being a rock hound with a geology background and a practitioner of Chinese Stone medicine, leaving without a look-see was not an option even though my budget was asking me to be strict. On entering I immediately saw The Wild Wood Tarot which I’ve really strongly been wanting yet resisting due to some necessary budget strains. So I walked the other way around the shop noticing the many nice quality and beautiful mineral specimens available. I could’ve taken a bucket load but instead I took home The Wild Wood Tarot I’d been longing for months on end and messaged a good friend that this store has some beautiful amazonite specimens similar to the old amazonite of mine she’s coveted for years. I hope to be back soon for minerals but in the mean time The Wild Wood Tarot is gorgeous in its artwork and positive in its archetypal messages. Adorable shop all...

I came across this sweet little shop when I was visiting Chattanooga most recently. I loved the vibe and the beautiful selection of items. I purchased the most gorgeous set of tarot cards that were handpainted by a local artist and an interesting book on Forest Bathing. It is small and there was a family with children in there while I was as well as a lady with a large (sort of intimidating) dog so I didn’t stay as long as I would have liked. This shop has the best, curated collection of crystals in town. The loving and knowledgeable staff not only care about the sale but about client retention, unafraid to engage in meaningful conversations. Hand-poured candles, books, jewelry, clothing...a perfectly intimate shopping experience. Their joy and sincerity is palpable!
