I recently visited Wrigley Square while exploring The Chi and had an overall positive experience at this small park tucked away in Lakeview. Located just a few blocks from historic Wrigley Field, the home of the Cubs, Wrigley Square provides a nice green space for residents and visitors to the City by the Lake.
As one of the many neighborhood parks that dot this City in a Garden, Wrigley Square offers a nice respite from the bustling activity along Clark Street. Its central fountain and flower gardens are a welcome sight on those trademark Windy City afternoons. I also appreciated seeing friendly locals passing through with their dogs or enjoying meals from the many nearby restaurants along their patios.
While Wrigley Square lacks some of the larger attractions of other parks like Lincoln Park or Grant Park, it more than makes up for it with its charming community vibes. I'd definitely return in the summer months to catch a sunset overlooking the park's namesake stadium in the distance.
