Corning Incorporated World Headquarters — Attraction in City of Corning

Good company with lots of technologies. The Headquarter buildings are interesting architecture utilize lots of glass as Corning's core technology. And there are good numbers of interesting sculptures inside the building, don't missed it if you work there . Love to walk around the buildings, specially the walk on the backside along the river and the side next to the park. The glass reflections under different condition presents different view, so different season, weathers, and time of the day are all different. The old headquarter building is across the river to the North behind the glass museum. And to the west of that building are the Corning Credit Union buildings which are also very interesting glass building that reflects different view. There are walkways on both side the river which offers great walks and view into all these builds. Bridges on the East and West forms a good short to medium distance relaxing path if...

From my understanding this is where Gorilla Glass windshields are from. I would like to PERSONALLY thank everyone involved in the development of this windshield. I was recently driving down a backroad in Mid-Missouri and my windshield was hit by a stray 9M BULLET! I grew up in Painted Post in the 50s and 60s. I think I probably visited the glass center once a week. I loved it. We watched the men blowing glass and walked along watching the engraving process. Some of the highlights of our visits were the periscope, the kaleidoscope, and finishing off by going to the cafeteria and eating sugar cubes. I have many, many wonderful memories growing up .
